Ok, so I've come up with a couple from the Legion. I'm yet to
decide fully on the points, so they could be adjusted I just
didn't want to Matt Ward them. Oh, if anyone wants me to design
one from previous characters of mine, then just ask.

Major Harrison Cerrianus (60 points)
WS BS S T W I A Ld Sv
4 4 3 3 3 3 2 10 4+
Wargear:
Carapace Armour
Plasma Pistol
Power Sword
Special Rules:
Senior Officer
Charismatic Leader
Loyal
Senior Officer:
Can use the same orders as a normal Company Commander.
Charismatic Leader:
Any unit from your army within 24 inches and has line of sight,
may increase their leadership by one to a maximum of 10.
Loyal:
Harrison will do anything for the men under his command, which
may be a saving grace or a curse. Every time one of his command
squad dies when not in close combat (that isn't him), roll a D6
and apply the following result:
1- Nothing happens, Cerrianus is too focused on the situation.
2- "You bastards!" - The Major instantly makes two shooting
attacks at the nearest enemy.
3- "Dear Emperor... not again..." - Grief stricken, the Major
cannot issue orders next turn.
4- "Fight for the memory of the fallen!" - The command squad,
and any unit within 6 inches, fights at +1 strength in close
combat and fires an extra shot at ranged.
5- "How! How could this happen again!?" - The Major is so
distracted by the situation, that he cannot shoot or issue
orders next turn.
6- "Man down!" - The Major turns to his fallen comrade and tries
to save them. His unit cannot move this turn, but they are
inspired by the compassion shown by their commander and fire an
extra shot.
Regimental Sergeant Major Julia Cerrianus (60 points)
WS BS S T W I A Ld Sv
4 4 3 3 2 3 2 10 4+
Wargear:
Carapace Armour
Lasgun
Power Sword
- Can equip Ignatius Pattern Power Armour (10 points)
- Can equip Hellgun (5 points)
Special Rules:
Senior NonCom
Young Veteran
Character
Senior NonCom:
The Sergeant Major is the highest non-commissioned officer in
the 501st. As such, she has a wealth of experience to draw from,
aswell as an almost celebrity-like status to enjoy. Any Imperial
Guard unit with 6 inches uses her leadership, and any Imperial
Guard unit within 12 inches increases their leadership by 1 to a
maximum of 10.
Young Veteran:
Julia has seen more than most guardsmen see in their lives. From
Hive sieges to Add to dictionary Cults, Julia has probably seen
it. People will listen to her advice more often than dismiss it.
As such, she counts as a Junior Officer with the following
additional order;
- "Stop slacking and work for a living!" - Julia uses her
booming Sergeant Major voice to command a squad into action, be
it a superior officer or a simple squad. The squad in question
may reroll any leadership tests for that round and may
immediately make a shooting attack, in addition to any other
shooting attacks they make that round.
1st Lieutenant Vladlina Panakova (175 points)
WS BS S T W I A Ld Sv
6 5 3 4 4 3 4 10 4+
Wargear:
Carapace Armour
Plasma Pistol
Force Sword
Refractor Field
Shattered Icon
Special Rules:
Intelligence Officer
Independent Character
Psyker (Mastery Level 3)
Tactical Master
Intelligence Officer:
Panakova takes a strange place in the Legion, having been picked
up after the Recitanus III invasion. She has no parent regiment,
and claims to be from Valhalla, but nothing is truly certain. As
part of her position, she can learn valuable information about
the enemy when they act.
If an opponent shoots or moves within 24 inches, roll a D3 and
apply the following result:
1- Unpredictable Enemy: The enemies' pattern cannot be
discerned, and Panakova cannot make any judgement.
2- Tactical Analysis: Panakova can see the underlying strategy
behind the opponents' tactics, and can adjust accordingly. An
ordered unit gains either +1 strength, +1 weapon strength or the
Pinning special rule.
3- Observed Skills: The opponents' combat patterns have been
analysed. An ordered unit (using Tactical Master) gains an
additional BS for the duration of the game, to a maximum of 5.
Only one effect can be listed as "current", but if multiple
units act, the die can be re-rolled.
Psyker:
She can choose from Telepathy and Telekinesis Disciplines of
powers.
Tactical Master:
Panakova can issue up to one order per turn and use any standard
orders from the Imperial Guard Codex aswell as the following
special order:
Target Weaknesses: Apply any current effects from Intelligence
Officer.

If you don't mind a little constructive criticism there, 501st:
Assuming Cerrianus is meant to replace a Company Commander,
first I'd state that explicitly as part of his rules, and I'd
say he should get an extra wound so he's in line with vanilla
CCs. The other thing about this guy is that, although I like the
idea of the loyal rule, paying extra price for a special
character who's purpose is to issue orders, but then having a
rule meaning that 33% of the time he can't issue orders isn't
going to make him seem like a character worth purchasing.
Julia is a Platoon Commander I'm guessing? If so, those stats
work just fine. Actually, I don't think there's much to change
with this one.
This one puzzles me. She is incredibly powerful, not even by IG
standards; she has the capacity to take down a Space Marine
Captain single handedly. I don't know who this character is, so
if she's some super daemon then I can understand, but having
good stats, a powerful shooting attack, a powerful close combat
attack, psychic powers and orders is a serious case of putting
all your eggs in one basket.
Feel free to poke holes in Meros too, I love criticism.

Ok, good points and I'll respond to each with either changes or
reasons:
Harrison: replaces CC, but I forgot the wounds for them and I
couldn't be asked to look them up so thank you. And it's only
when HIS squad loses a man, which also has the possibility of
working for him in more ways then against.
Julia: Yep fine.
Panakova: She's got a lot of story that underlies every single
thing I wrote or GM'ed. So yeah, you're right in thinking she's
not a typical commander. In fact, she appeared in one of my
stories, but not under that name.

Main thing about Panakova is that, although I don't necessarily
disagree with her being a psyker, a ML3 psyker is something I'm
wary of. I'm also thinking that her Intelligence Officer rule
could be rolled into a unique psychic power, mainly for
simplicity purposes and to mean she isn't too OP in regards to
having three orders and three psychic powers.
