Lord Inquisitor Septima:
An almost silent scraping attracts your attention, and you see a
vast metal sheet sliding down over the glass, obviously for warp
insertion. It's never good to be able to see the warp. You
should know...
Carmine "Red" Zuigiber:
"True." He takes another swig, then a man comes over to him, and
whispers something in his ear. The man across from you nods, and
stands.
"Got to oversee the closing of fighter bays before
warp-insertion. Feel free to tag along, or stay here, it's your
free time."
Senera Fernando:
Suddenly, a flash of light illuminates a man, standing before
you, and he is blazed with light from above, shielding his eyes
from it, he holds a rusted lasgun in his hands and bears a
symbol on his chest, one of an eight pointed star. The lasgun's
aimed at you.
Cullius Rofen:
The revolver man smiles and aims again at the target. You do
likewise.
(71) + 7 (78)
(56) + 5 (61)
The revolver man lowers his gun smiling. "Been a while since
I've met a good shot like you. Name's Sebastian landau. I expect
you'll want to go see the Lieutenant about that bolt pistol. You
deserve it, I aint gonna argue."
Jarosh Yerachmiel:
The machine spirit chirps into life again, there is no
weaponry... active. There was some, but it's since been removed
rather... um... brutally. There is however, a system to control
the lights, and a vox system to relay your voice to the deck
bellow. You turn on a bright spotlight above the man attempting
to sneak up on the couple. You see on the illuminated man, a
symbol etched into his chest, that of an eight pointed star.
Lillian:
You check your watch, and see at least an hour and half has
passed since you looked at those shards.
You turn the corner, having just navigated your way through the
corridors, to find a gory scene. The man has been disembowelled,
his organs smeared across the ground, and his head torn clean
off, and nowhere to be seen. some of the blood coating this man
has already been congealed, servitors cleaning him up.
Morale test time! (74) -5 (69) Threshold of what... 40 odd? 50?
Still not really that great... (By the way, this is the FFS 40k
model rules we're using for the rolls, so unless it's a test vs
somebody else, the lower you get the better.)
You immediately run the fuck away, through a maze of corridors
and back to your room, panting. That's not what really scares
you though... not the gore... but the fact that it DID scare
you. You should be used to this... but for some reason, you feel
deeply worried. The same fate could happen to you... and that
hour! You're almost certain it was spent in that room but...
You've still got the parcel on you, with the shards within...
and for some reason it's all you can think about.

"He's not deaf, but he's blind. Hurry!" Jarosh speaks into the
vox, a mixture of a frightened hiss and a shout seeping from his
biological lips. Jarosh may find himself calm when amongst the
machines, but when fighting starts, the same apprehension that
seeps into his bones right now becomes incredibly obvious from
an outside perspective.

"FUCK."
Lillian runs out into the Halls, searching for an Inquisitor or
at least a armed guard, making sure not to stop praying to the
holy God Emperor as she is at that.

Rofen smiles at Sebastion as he holsters his rifle 'I'am only a
good shot through the Emperor' he elevates his eyes to the
celling 'he has made us meet for a reason, I expect to be
meeting you later Sebastion' Rofen makes the sign of the aquila
as he moves over to the Lieutenant to retrieve the pistol.

Lord Inquisitor Septima:
You come across a headless, mutilated body, its entrails smeared
over the floor in a mix of oil and blood from the servitors
clanking around and trying to clean it up, but only further
spreading the gore.
A woman suddenly rounds the corner, a package in hand, looking
worried. She looks as if she's about to say something, but keeps
her tongue stilled.
Carmine "Red" Zuigiber:
"Heh... they won't give anybody bellow a squadron leader
alcohol. They say it's so they 'only drink responsibly, and they
know when to at that rank'. Nah, it's just because if they've
got that high up they've proved that when they did take it
before flight, which they definitely did once, they didn't die.
Follow me."
*You follow him through a few corridors until you enter a fairly
spacious lift, maybe the size of a small bungalow. One corner is
filled with servitors swarming an old piece of tech, and a
mechanicum adept looking irritatedly at your group over his
shoulder. Eventually you arrive at the correct deck, which you
step out onto. A vast vista of smooth metal floor stretches out
before you, into a hanger containing hundreds of ships of all
sorts of shapes and sizes. You sidle over to a small panel at a
wall, and the officer opens it with a small key, then flicks a
tiny switch inside.*
"Just closed the door with this!" He looks at your bemused
expression and laughs "Nah, this just tells the bridge we're
ready and does a quick system test. If all's well we'll get a
green light."
*He looks at the lights just as they flick from black to green.
One lingers on orange for a moment, flickering between it and
green, before finally turning green. He hasn't seemed to have
noticed it.*
Senera Fernando:
A grinding and metallic voice echoes throughout the corridors
"He's not deaf, but he's blind. Hurry!"
He lifts his lasgun to fire at you, but you draw quicker, and a
flash of blue bursts through the corridor, (43) - 10 (your
experience and the fact he's a clear, still target) and his left
arm is struck with a searing flash of flame. He staggers back,
clutching it, as his arm turns to a flaming mass of gore. He
collapses, dropping to his knees, and aims at your chest with
one hand (25) + 5 for being one handed and in shock. Still under
his ballistics skill.)
He shoots you in the chest, the reaction field failing, the
force slams into your chest, searing a hole in your armour and
knocking you across the corridor. The woman is cowering in an
alcove that could probably stop a bolter round, she'll be
fine... but there's a big hole in your carapace plate now.
Cullius Rofen:
The Lieutenant hands you the bolt pistol on a red velvet
cushion, and when you take it, he takes your hand and thrusts it
into the air!
"We have a winner!" He announces to the crowd to a few jeers and
a few chuckles.
"So...? Bolt weapon eh? Not many a man gets to own one of their
own."
Jarosh Yerachmiel:
The cultist is shot immediately with three searing blasts,
blowing holes in his arm and chest, and reducing his arm to a
mass of burning puss and boiling flesh. The cultist fires
another shot at the male of the couple, knocking him down.
Lillian:
You come back of the door of your quarters, you've no clue where
you can find security or an inquisitor... although you're sure
there's one on the ship somewhere.
Immediately, you seek to go back to the scene of the crime.
Perhaps somebody will be there?
When you get there, you find a female inquisitor standing over
the corpse, a look of distain on her face.

Seeing as though very little else can be done from his position,
Jarosh cycles through the security imagery in the nearby rooms
and corridors for anything that may case further problems.
