Squats and Ratlings, who's who?

I seem to remember one were murdered by Chaos and one by Nids. I
presume Ratlings were the victims of Chaos, considering they
weren't all consumed and cease to exist.

Squats were a separate abhuman race with there own culture...
Rattlings were an abhuman sniper unit used by the imperial
guard...
Squats got munched by nids and Rattlings must have been pushed
out or purged by the inquisition...

Ratling is a very broad term used to refer to nearly any abhuman
that is short and agile. Squats have a separate classification
because they had their own Empire and technologies. Some
Ratlings have been consumed by chaos but th are still many
planets of them. Squats are now refugees; the presence of their
Mega Psyker midgets known as Living Ancestors drew the Tyranids
to them almost like bait thus making them lose literally all
their worlds.
