Title says it all. Happy Vesak guys.
What is it?
Well, it's a Buddhist celebration to commemorate the birth,
enlightenment, and parinibbana of the Buddha.
When is it?
On the Full Moon (Poya) Day of May
What we do?
People usually decorate their houses with lanterns, lights, oil
lamps, etc..... Some groups of people get together and erect
pandols.
People also hold dansal where people give free stuff. This free
stuff consists of food, ice cream, drinks, car washes, even
petrol in some cases.
They do this to earn merits(Good Kamma) to be happy in this life
or the next.

One was or the other, it's nice that they give away things for
free and it sounds like a nice thing overall.
Are you Buddist then? Senera?

His skin colour was probably Brown to light brown as that was
the skin colour of Indians at that time.

I'd imagine Indians would be a tad more tan back then since
their arrival in India would be more recent. Plus people go
outdoors more back in the day.

Wait a min. Having a Golden hued body is one of the physical
characteristics of the Buddha, so..... there's that.
