I figured I'd make a thread for any anime talk since I wanted to
do just that, talk about anime.
I've been watching Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. I'd never touched
Gundam till recently. Wing was big when I was a kid but I just
missed out on it, so I decided I'd make it my goal to watch them
all from the start. On the whole I liked 0079, but the animation
was very dated and there were quite a few reused clips. It's an
old show so I didn't mind that too much. The biggest issue for
me was, midway through the show, it felt like there wasn't too
much progress in terms of plot. It started off great and it
ended great, but the middle section was a bit tired and
formulaic.
Anyway since then I moved on to Gundam Z. This one started
off...pretty hard to get in to honestly. For me at least. I
didn't find any characters likeable except one, who was a
returning character fom 0079. After about 14 episodes or so
however, I'm starting to enjoy it a lot.
I think the thing that surprised me most about the series on the
whole so far, is that it is actually pretty damn mature. I
always thought it'd be a typical Shounen anime, but it isn't at
all.
Anyone on here watch Gundam?
If not, but you do watch anime just list some of your
favourites. :P

I'm not big into anime, and that's the only one I've watched in

I haven't watched it. It looks kinda...ew. XD
You should check out Berserk. I think anyone into 40k would like
that.

One Punch Man is good. Other than that Shingeki No Bahamut,
Hellsing Ultimate(Khorne fanatics would love it), and Nanatzu No
Taizai are good anime that I would recommend.
Also check out One Outs if you're into mind games and such. I
know it's about baseball, but watch it. It's amazing.

GATE is also another anime I would highly recommend. I haven't
seen the anime but I've read enough of the manga to know how
good it is.
Basically a portal to another world opens up. This world is a
typical fantasy world with a Roman era kinda setting with
dragons, elves, magic, etc...
Now the Roman empire invades modern day japan. They fail of
course cause of obvious reasons. Then Japan launches an
expedition into that world.
Que our protagonist, an average guy who I entered the military
thanks to the invasion goes exploring this new world, and in the
process......(watch the anime)
This is interesting to me because it's a nice look at how a
modern military force would fare against fantasy creatures and
the ancient Roman empire(Spoiler--Rome gets f*ed)
The only downside is the companions who the protagonist
aquires.(This is kinda subjective as maybe you like loli Khorne
worshipper loli Apostle of the death god, Elf with ptsd,
etc...).

I've heard of that but I haven't actually watched any sports
anime yet. The list of stuff I want to watch is pretty damn big,
so yeah. I mean my quest to watch Gundam alone is like...three
decades worth of anime...X_X.
