DIR By: Runa_Cat

---------------------------------------------------------
Your Mission, should you choose to accept it, is to provide
reinforcements to forge world Ignoxus, in subsector Tullius.
This Forgeworld us currently the primary point of production for
both the Imperial Guard regiments of the Tullic System, and the
Imperialis Primos Space Marine Chapter.
The World is besieged from above by waves and waves of Orks, and
from below by a near endless supply of Chaos militia.
Defenders are composed of the entire First and Third companies
of the Imperialis Primos, as well as a full three regiments from
the Tullic System. The Defender's have called for aid from any
available Sources, including asking the nearby Tau, and Eldar to
aid them.
Also responding the the call, though not to provide aid, are
Dark Eldar.
So, description. There are currently three strongholds still
held by the Imperium, Hive Touron, in the only part of the
planet that has a substantial forest, the rest of the plant is
mountainous, or desert, with several active volcanos.
Manufactorum Primarus, and the primary landing pad for the
Imperium, which has been heavily fortified, similar to a
fortification made by the Imperial Fist or Iron Warriors. All
are Held by a mix of the three regiments and two companies.
Manufactorum Ultima has been held and fortified by an unknown
Chaos Warband militia, and there are three Ork occupied Space
Hulks in orbit, along with a small fleet of supporting ships.
There are Currently two Tau ships on route, but it will take
atleast three days to reach the planet, there is also a unified
force of three more Imperial Regiments, and the remaining
forcesnof the Imperialis Primos on their way, but will take four
days to reach them, however, there are allied forces within
three hours of Ignoxus. You are located here, if you are
Imperial or Allied.
If you are Orkish, you start in the orbiting fleet, if you are
chaotic, you start under Manufactorum Ultima.
The year is early 985.M41

terminator.
3) all Imperial reinforcements bring additional weapons and

Why would the Imperium directly call for help from Tau and
Eldar, and why would they respond?

The Chapter has agreements with the nearby Tau and nearby Eldar.
Basically, if they call for help the Chapter will respond as
long as it's non-imperial antagonist, and the Eldar/Tau would do
the same.
It's a case of "better the devil you know"

There is no precedence for any of this happening. Additionally,
your chapter would be called xenos and heretics; meanwhile Eldar
don't do such agreements in the long run and never follow them.
The Tau would long since have begin to try to expand into this
territory and convert everyone to the greater good.
Now, since everyone here gets butthurt for no reason, I will ask
you: would you like me to stop playing

There are cases of the Imperium forming long term agreements
with xeno, until eventually someone breaks the agreement

You still have not answered my question and revoked my points.
Why didn't the Tau try to expand into their territory yet thus
causing war, and why would the Eldar come to help the Imperials.
Farseers would long have seen this coming, they would fight this
foe before calling them is necessary. This either they come of
their own Accord without being called, OR they do not come at
all. Additionally, have any specific instances of the Imperium
actually allying with xenos?.
I would like to ask again, shall I stop playing devil's
advocate?

The Tau have not yet attempted because as soon as they try they
will be crushed.
The future is not completely predictable, so there is a chance
that the Eldar farseers didn't see it coming, and so they didnt
know a hoard of mainly slaneshii chaotic peeps are launching an
attack on the system, and when they do find out, they know they
will be targeted next. In any case, for the Eldar, this is a one
shot thing, and they are driven out of the system shortly after
by the majority of the Imperial troops targeting their
craftworld. (Craftworlds are not always massive craft, some can
be as small as a battle barge)
Dawn of War Winter Assault for one, and I believe there are
other cases of SM chapters helping out Eldar.
I want people to ask these kinds of questions because it helps
flesh out the back ground.

I presume we are making entirely new characters for this
scenario?

Actually, the battle already has a set outcome, characters who
RP however will change how dramatic that outcome is.
But, no, your characters can stay the same, unless you want new
ones.
But, I should provide background for the Imperialis Primo.
They are a Sally decendant, they share the Salamanders
compassion for mankind, but take it to the next step.
They are white as alabaster, with cerulean glowing eye. They
naturally see UV light, and have black hair. They have a
clannish society, similar to the Salamanders.

In which case, Techmarine So'rem is on the way.
What are the allowances in terms of NPC reinforcements such as
the Salamanders chapter?
