This is the start to what will be a very long discussion topic..
All Automobiles use electrical systems, and with today's
technology these systems are becoming more and more complex. How
vehicle computer systems communicate, how circuits operate
All of these systems start with the heart of it all. The
battery. The battery is a 12 Volt source composed by layering
Peroxide and Lead Peroxide plates together. Peroxide plates
making the positive cells, and Lead Peroxide creating the
Negative connection, then filled with an Electrolyte
liquid/Distilled water. Whenever beginning with any system
understanding or diagnosis, it is very important to verify the
systems charge as this will greatly affect how the circuit will
operate. The battery can be very dangerous if improperly
connected to or serviced, however most batteries today are not
serviceable. Whenever a charger or power source is connected
across the battery it is critical to verify fluid level within
the battery. Fluid within the battery is one piece of the puzzle
separating the cells within, if fluid level is below the top of
the plates a short circuit can occur causing an explosion or
fire. This creates an obvious hazard to be injured. An
automotive battery is capable of producing high levels of
       amperage.... to be continued
