A New Era: Winds of Change
By: Pegasus Storm Date: July 15, 2014, 5:10 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
This RPG takes place in the land of Dura several years after a
dark overlord attempted to consume the land. He was defeated by
a small band of dragons, of whom vanished into the shadow before
they could be praised. Soon after, issues with a desert kingdom
and the village of Aura arose, but were soon abated. Many say
that the same dragons who freed the land satiated the problem in
the Desert, but it is unsure.
Kyry, one of those dragons, sleepily rose his head and faced the
window. A solid golden rod of light assaulted his eyes as he
winced and looked away. Everything was rather blurry, from all
of his maps and artifacts on the walls to even his own paw in
       front of his face.

Azeku stumbled into the village, the lack of water clouding his
senses and two new dark wounds on his tail as he tried to find
this place. He'd been looking for some place to stock up on his
water supplies and without a sight line or the strength to fly,
he'd been forced to use his affinity to find this village just
as dawn was breaking. He wasn't sure if anyone would be about,
though he was desperate for water and food, he wasn't going to
go annoy other dragons in their homes. He kept walking, hoping
he would be able to walk into someone soon.

Kyry recalled he had an errand to perform, and that inspired him
to stay in bed even longer. A new type of blue wildflower was
growing outside the village, and he wanted to analyze them
before anyone picked them. The lightning dragon's bones snapped
and creaked as he stood up and tried to clear his eyes. He
stumbled forward a few steps, knocking over a few items off of
       his shelf.

Azeku's head turned towards a source of noise from one of the
nearby homes, and he altered the direction of his staggering so
he was heading that way. If there a noise, then someone must be
awake, and if someone was awake, the could help him get water.
"Hello?" His voice was raspy and quiet from lack of use and
water, and the effort it took just to utter that one word sent
his head into a spin. He stopped walking but swayed on the spot
as the world around him continued moving, eventually causing him
to collapse onto his side with a small oomph, taking shallow and
ragged breaths as he led there trying to stop the black spots
       from engulfing his vision.

Kyry cleared his head as he stepped outside. All he saw was a
blur of green and blue towards the top. He tilted his head as he
heard a voice call out...or attempt to call out. He wiped his
eyes with his tail and looked to the left, seeing a blue dragon
on the ground resting. Or, he looked as if he was resting.
He walked up to the stranger, noticing the black stripes on his
body and how weak he seemed. Kyry leaned down and instantly
realized that this dragon was not healthy at all, and he showed
       signs of water deprivation.
"Friend?" he nudged him, hoping he could get a response.

Azeku managed to open his eyes enough to see the white dragon
stood in front of him, even if he was only a blur of colour
       rather then a being.
"Help..... please." He managed to rasp out, his tongue and voice
feeling like sand paper as he spoke. He had to close his eyes
again, having no energy to hold his eyelids open any more.

Kyry wasted no time asking questions, for now he had all the
evidence he needed. He rushed over to the river that flowed in
the middle of the village, nabbed a bucket, and dipped it in the
ignorantly melodic waters. As soon as he had his prize, he
sprinted back over to the dragon and spat out the bucket,
       lifting the dragon's head.
"Do you have the energy to drink? I have brought you water," he
said softly, lying down next to him.

Azeku appreciated the other dragon's efforts, trying to shift
himself so that he could drink. He grunted as he managed to get
his legs under him to lie straight, dipping his head into the
bucket and practically inhaling the water that was held inside.
He would almost instantly look better, the colour if his scales
become bright again and his breathing became easier. Once the
bucket was dry Azeku lifted his head and gave the white dragon a
       grateful smile.
"Thank you, friend." His voice was still a bit raw, but not as
bad as it had been before. Despite the water, however, his eyes
fluttered shut again as he passed out for the first time in
       almost a week.

Kyry was a little surprised to see such a quick recovery, but
accepted the turn of events. He knew he was not going to allow
this dragon to stay passed out in the road, so he tried with all
of his strength to place him on his back. After a couple failed
attempts and a sore wing, he nudged him into the shade and
       refilled the bucket.
Knowing the stranger was in no endangerment, he quickly sprinted
into his house to make a breakfast for them both. He scrunched
up his face at the mess of items on the floor and shoved away a
tidal wave of OCD. What mattered at the moment was that blue
       dragon.

Azeku had no idea how long he was out, it could've been anywhere
from a few minutes to a few hours, but when he opened his eyes
again, he was in the shade and the bucket had been refilled. He
raised his head and looked about to see if he could find the
white dragon he remembered, though the water seemed a tad more
inviting at the moment. He turned back and put his muzzle into
the cool water, drinking at a slower rate then he had first
time, though his relief was no less. Being a water dragon
       without water, sucked tail.
