Breeze raised both her eyebrows this time as she looked over to
him "You know, if you blush much more you might be able to fry
an egg on your face." she rolled over so that she was back on
her front and got her hooves under her so she could stand up
"I'm taking it, you're not a pony that really hangs out with
girls much are you?"

Steam shook his head and looked off. "I...No. I don't often get
to talk to girls. I...really don't know much about them. Not my
line of study."
He wished he could run off and forget the idiotic things he
said, but part of him was enjoying this. He didn't move.

Breeze giggle "Well, you don't have to worry about me to much,"
she pranced around in front of him for a moment before
dramatically pretending to faint. She led on the grass, giggling
hysterically "I'm not like those fru-fru's from the cities. I
don't mind going out and getting my hooves dirty for a bit of
fun." Throughout it all, Breeze hasn't stopped giggling once and
her giggles were becoming silent as she struggled to get any
breath

Steam wondered if all females were as crazy as this. He hoped
so.
"I really don't mind it either. Being a scientist requires
getting dirty and sleeping under trees. Or...trees sleeping
under you...but I'm not gonna go there." he laughed, feeling
more comfortable around Melody.

"Ooooh a scientist? I thought you might've been done crazy bug
enthusiast, a scientist is so much better. So you have brain as
well as brawn then, Mr Pipe?" Breeze stood up again and shook
all the grass out of her mane and tail "So do you have a
specific type of science you study, or are you an all round type
of guy?"

Steam blushed furiously at the compliment. He growled at himself
for not being able to control that.
"Oh, I ah, tinker in machinery. Gears, knobs, gearknobs." he
answered, somewhat shakily.

"What sort of machinery do you tinker with then?" It was
Breeze's turn to blush, that had come out much more
flirtatiously then she had thought of in her head, in her head
it was an innocent question compared to what came out of her
mouth. She raised a hoof up to her face and pretend to be
scratching at her forehead to hide the pink spreading across her
muzzle.

Steam picked up on the tone and instantly got more nervous. "I
uh..." he stuttered. "Just...any machines. Moving
machines...machines that aid daily life..." he noticed the
blushing.

Breeze winced at her stupidness "Eheh, that sounds really cool.
I like the machines that can make instruments play themselves,
they always fascinate me." She moved her hoof away from her face
but looked else where, anywhere but at Steam's face

Steam brightened. "Self-playing instruments, huh?" he looked
ready to go somewhere. "Come on back to my place, I could make
one for you." he then realized how creepy it must have seemed to
get invited to a stranger's house.
