Breeze raised and eyebrow "What the hay is a bellfly? sounds
rather annoying to me." she looked at the machine "Also, what is
that dohicky?"

Steam didn't look back. "It's a rare insect...well, it looks as
if it still is." he glanced at her and pointed at the fly like a
teacher pointing to a chalkboard. "Their mating dance lasts for
three whole days, and they only live for about a week.
Brilliant, aren't they?"
He hesitated a bit. "..And that's my...uh...doohickey. It scans
things, you know."

Breeze rolled her eyes "A dancing bug? that's a new one." she
smiled and shook her head "Does your doohickey have a name, or
is it just a doohickey?"

Steam looked defensive for a moment. "It's just a doohickey.
That's all." he took the machine off of the tree and accidently
backed into Melody awkwardly, falling into the grass.

Breeze pushed herself out of the way with her wings, but just
missed out on catching Steam before he fell onto the grass.
"Watch out there Steam, you don't want to break that doohickey
of yours." she had a playful smile on her face as she landed
back on the grass

Steam had a panicked face and the machine in his hooves as he
laid on his back. "Uh...I'm-uh-it's okay. No damage done."
Well, maybe to my dignity he thought as his face turned as red
as the setting sun.

Breeze walked over and put a hoof on his shoulder "Well that's
ok then. You're intact, your doohickey's intact, unfortunately,
your dignity might need a bit of super glue to make that whole
again." she giggled and nudged his cheek with her hoof before
taking it back and lying down on her front, all four legs and
her wings spread out around her

Steam felt like he was on fire, and his throat felt like a
desert. Yet, somehow, he enjoyed it.
"I ah, yeah." he said as if those were his first words. He
decided to change the subject before he burned his face. "So,"
he eyed her wings. "You do alot of flying?"

Breeze snorted "No Steam, these wings are for show." She looked
over to him trying her hardest not to laugh out load "Of course
I fly a lot, mainly agility flight though, not speed like
Rainbow Dash." She rolled over onto her back and stretched her
legs straight up above her, stifling a yawn as she did.

Steam was hardly ever around females. He did his work with
males, from when Celestia rose the sun to when Luna rose the
moon. He felt increasingly awkward, especially after that
foolish remark about her wings.
"Well ah," he started. "You certainly DO look agile. Your form
and all."
Idiot! Stop with the comments! he thought, mentally facehoofing.
