       STUDIO MUSICIANS NOT WITHSTANDING!

Tabalt has been to quite a few Ventures MEET & GREET's over the
       past five
years. Each year at EPCOT ('08 & '09) plus the past two at
       BUSCH GARDENS
in Florida, the group treats their fans to hour long Q&A's
       designed to not only get
themselves closer to their supportive fan base but to shed light
       on a variety of
       topics needing answers to satisfy.
On more than one occasion, I can remember Don Wilson getting
       asked: "Don,
what is your favorite Ventures album?" Without hesitation each
       time he replied
"It's gotta be for me 10TH ANNIVERSARY. Why you ask- 'cause
       before we even
went into the studio for our first take, we had already reheased
       a full 3 months &
it certainly shows. Everything is just so tight."
So there you have it folks. With all the recent talk 'bout
       whether any of The
Ventures actually played on arguably their biggest hit ever-
       HAWAII 5-0 or the
past revelations that studio musicians filled in for them 'more
       times than not'
during their 'true heyday' in the mid-60's, going simply on
       Don's sincere remarks
about this later album in their career- wouldn't mind having
       'our members' offer
up their views on 10TH ANNIVERSARY- for me one of their finest
       efforts on vinyl.
