Hi Jeff. Where can one hear some of your stuff?
       On the original point.
The music industry isn't about making music. It's about making
       money.
There are still a lot of good musicians out there.
       Unfortunately, I do believe
that when it comes to music, we identify most with what we grew
       up with.

I find that by spending some time on YouTube, there is so much
great music from the past that has been posted, it is easy to
find stuff that you may never have heard and really enjoy it!
There's a lot of guitar instrumental music from our favourite
       era (mid '50's - mid '60's) for instance, that I still haven't
heard, even though I have been listening to and playing a lot of
that stuff for years- I heard a few online recently- tunes that
I had never heard, or heard once years ago and forgot!
There's still a lot of Ventures and Shadows tracks that I've
never heard, but many, if not all, of them can be found and
       enjoyed on YouTube...
It's great- you can still live in the past and not even have to
think about new music from the 21st century- or waste your
precious time trying to find something enjoyable! :)
And also...try listening to some really early guitar music (much
of this is acoustic guitar music however) from the 1920's,
'30's, '40's as well as later eras with which we are familiar...

       Thank you!
As an example, as a Brit who has lived in Australia for many
years, I had not seen the Laurence Welk US TV Show from the
1950's...but from reading articles in magazines and on-line and
browsing on YouTube, I've been able to discover, see and hear
the superb playing of Neil LeVang and Buddy Merrill- fantastic
stuff and all those lovely old Fenders! Great playing and
sounds- even before the Shadows and The Ventures...!

Hi Jeff. Where can one hear some of your stuff?
Hi Steve! Thanks so much for asking!
For right now, the best source to hear these tunes(some of my
originals) is actually from the Ventures Fan Fest DVDs.
For example, at last year's show(2015) we Pickniks played
several of them. Here are those titles:
"Nomad", "Breaking Point!", "Gear Jammin' ", "Red Headed
       Woodpecker", and "Second Wind".
Since then I've composed several more, and expect we will be
       showcasing them this year!
       OK...here's a few of the new titles..."Switchback",
"Mindsweeper", and..."Ventures In Space". More to come? Maybe!
Also! Grant has a new original, last year we played his "Fiesta
de San Marcos", this year we will feature his newest creation!
Grant just mentioned this to us last week; sorry...I don't yet
know what the title is of that one!

Walt, I'm itchin' to get these recorded, and we have developed
       quite a backlog.
When John R. is feelin' a lot better, hopefully soon, we can get
crackin'. (We record at his little studio)
