       Gerry has very little interest in effect pedals, etc - the magic
       is in the fingers! Read the interview in Guitar Player magazine.
       I've noticed that no matter what type of guitar or set-up he
       uses - he always gets the same sound. Even though he uses a
       thumb-pick there is something mysterious in the way he attacks
       the strings - that is the secret to his sound! I'm not sure but
       I think he is using alternate tunings in some of his solo
       YouTube videos.
