I've finally got the solo down and have tabbed the song all out.
With all the open notes in the solo the must have played with a
capo on the record for the 2nd time through
I enjoyed doing this...hope it helps some others
[pre]Blue Moon ventures
As on the record…only tuned up to C

Solo Playing tips:
Most of the solo is open strings on every other note..just keep
your fingers going on and off the keyboard
The solo has an underlying melody (bold notes in the tab)..this
is basically played along with adjoining strings. Follow the
melody and the rest will come.
This tab is in C…the record is ˝ step off but it is played in C
as can be seen on the youtube video.

Also the ending is different on the album and single versions
although my copy of the album that I bought when it first came
out has what's usually referred to as the single version on it.

listened to the mono version...a tad different but with a
different ending. I like it. Thanks for posting.

I think it is unlikely Bob used a capo, Chuck, but I agree it is
difficult to play the modulated 2nd part. The recorded version
uses chords even in the main melody. But I am able to play it
without a capo, albeit with much difficulty!

Andy

Hi Andy
Thanks for the input. You are a much more adept player than I.
I think I'll have an easier time learning how to put a capo on
than I will in learning to play the modulated part... :-)
regards,
Chuck
