The Colorful Ventures from 1961, featuring the original guitar.
Many thanks to Jonpaul Balak on SG101 for the album cover.

Those were VERY kewl sherts....they remind me of the shirts that
Hank Marvin wares when he plays w/the Shads.
Wonder where to buy them or similar?

Thanks, all. I'm glad you like the guitar. It was my dream of
almost 50 years. It's a pleasure to use.

       Hey Noel,
andy's new Jazzmaster would differ from the Jazzmaster that Don
played for so many years in that that one was a '68 and had
block inlays. It would be interesting to know what happened to
the Jazzmasters The Ventures played in the early '60's. I really
like this one that Andy had made.

Andy, what a beautiful Fender Custom Shop Jazzmaster you have.
Love that gorgeous flamed neck. Music Gallery in Highland Park
surely has the most selection and the best Fender Custom Shop
       guitars in the Midwest.
I also have a similar CS JM w/ Birdseye neck in black
(Team-built, not master-built). I will show and discuss it in
"Desert Surfer's Ventures guitars" posting. Hope you will chime
       in.

Thanks, Desertsurfer. Yes, Muaic Gallery has quite a selection.
The proprietor Frank Glionna is very knowledgeable (he knows a
lot about the early stuff) and helpful.
That's an interesting color for a Jszzmaster. The flame maple
must stand out against the black. I look forward to your
       thread.
       Regards,
       Andy

Thanks Andy. Yeah, we can compare the spec details on our JM. I
think the specs of mine is very similar to yours.
       Talk soon..
       :)
