When Tony Hoffman hailing from York ENGLAND climbed aboard this
forum after the first of the year, he mentioned within his
INTRODUCTION
the wonderful magazine he publishes four times a year devoted to
our heroes THE VENTURES. Having just rec'd issue 5 last week, I
felt an
extra plug was is order under this category. In alot of ways
this is simply an extension of THE VENTURES RESURGENCE- the fine
publication
Gerry Woodage was behind all those years. Tony has jazzed it
up a bit choosing to include color into the mix whenever &
wherever possible.
The latest effort is CHOCKED FULL of news tidbits, CD reviews, a
trading post section where needs are posted for possible
purchase or exchange,
fans letters, Dave Towers customary summer tour reveiw from
Japan, Ventures collectables, album reviews from the past, etc.
Why even a USA
FAN JAM MENTION makes it to print along with a handful of nifty
surprises- two of which come in the form of photos- Joe Barile
behind the kit recently backing THE PHIL ANTHONY BAND & another
showing Bob Spalding alongside stalwart fan Maurice Preece at
the 2006 Pipeline Convention where Bob shared the stage with
none other than George Tomsco from FIREBALLS fame. You'll
wanna add this VENTURES EXCITEMENT to your life four times a
