What Sort Of Fluffy Ponies Are We Dealing With Here?
By: Giant_Neckbeard Date: June 5, 2012, 5:41 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Something I don't think we've addressed yet is what 'type' of
Fluffy Pony we're dealing with.
The 'vanilla' type that drowns the instant it sees water, dies
as soon as it gets poked and is basically Death-Bait?
The 'modern' type that's still stupid as all hell but is
moderately successful at surviving, assuming nothing potential
sharp/heavy/angry/on fire is involved?
The 'blessed' type (of which I am the guilty progenitor) which
actually have more than two brain cells to rub together?
I Suggest we go for the Modern type, simply because the
'Vanilla' will die far too swiftly to cause any chaos other than
Fluffy Pony bodies blocking the street, and given the large body
of water nearby, we'd be killing tens of thousands of Fluffy
Ponies before they even get near the Park!
I also suggest we avoid the 'Blessed' type as it's going to get
insane.....
Also, I know the 'Fuzzy' Pony was suggested as a sort of Clone
Trooper "Order 666" style enemy, but how about Hasbro releasing
a new 'Brand' of Fluffy Pony in response to the Park. Alicorn
Fluffies? Larger, smarter, stronger and cuter.
Their very existence will drive the Fluffies into either a rage
of hatred and jealousy or they'll become the new Goddesses of
the Fluffies. And all the shenanigans that entails.

I was assuming the 'modern' type.

If they were vanilla, they'd all be dead before they made it to
Cleveland.
We could throw in a few blessed to make for better drama.

In regards to keeping the Numbers up while they're being
decimated, are we talking 'Fluffsplosion' births or 'Natural'
births so the Foals are dependant upon the Herds?

We could have a little of both. The general rule now is that
dams fluffsplode when they're under high amounts of stress.

I think the Hasbro alicorns were replaced/evolved as a story
element by/to the Biotoys Order 109 White Fuzzies.

I think the Fuzzies make for a more compelling story. It's a new
entity that is actively trying to drive out fluffies in order to
take over. We see what it would be like to have an obedient
fluffy that doesn't get itself killed, doesn't have smelly shit,
and isn't obnoxiously dependent. And we see that it's pretty
boring. Fluffies are a nuisance at times, but they're at least
interesting.

I vote for the modern type here but some random vanilla thrown
in the mix for the lulz may be good too

yeah that's when Fluffy herd stories work the best is when there
are a handful that are the competent blessed type (they are
typically in the lead), several that are the dumb but sometimes
competent Modern type, and then the rest are the are WOEFULLY
incompetent vanilla type
