Derpibooru will have to do. I just wish I could bulk download
consistently.
Man this sucks, and then right as I got news of this, I found
out the new Ajani Planeswalker card was ass. Bad day for me and
internet news.

On the bright side, this will let fluffy pony start anew. Unless

Yeah, I hope that everyone behaves themselves and the admins of
Derpibooru don't have to go through the same thing.
Though on the plus side, the software running DB IS a bit more
powerful than Ponibooru's was (apparently), so hopefully things
might actually get a bit better now, both on the moderating and
browsing side ... just as soon as the site recovers from its
sudden massive increase in use due to everyone jumping ship from
Ponibooru.
I believe that the automatic upload from Ponibooru (which is
probably what's causing the bandwidth crunch, come to think of
it) contained only the highest rated images, so hopefully that
should whittle things down quite a lot. Here's hoping that, as
with the city of Cleveland, all this destruction and turmoil
turns out to be worth it (maybe).

I have reuploaded the original Drew Carey pic to Derpi. I am
trying to think on the positive side: we are going to rock this
new place with an epic event, kick off the era of Fluffy Ponies
on Derpibooru right.

It's just adjustment pains. It's a new community, and everyone
from Ponibooru is still making the move. Within a week it'll be
back to more or less normal.

You haven't done anything wrong, Tab. I'm going to say this now
for all of us, because I saw this coming: there are a lot of
great ideas out there, but in the end, we are all writing
stories about the same moment in time. I am trying to be
hands-off, but I assure you, if I didn't think each of you could
write unique stories about the exact same thing, I would have
tried a designated-story approach. If someone writes a story
similar to what you would write, write yours. I know you will
do just as good and bring your own unique influences to the
table.
I mean, I've seen dozens of stories of "Fluffy walks up to a
house in the middle of the night, guy who hates fluffy melts and
lets it in, slowly falls in love and starts hugboxing" and
"Fluffy herd comes to lawn, owner of house abuses smarty friend"
stories, but they're all good, because they all have something
special only that writer can bring. The same is true for us.
In the end, there is an irony about doing this whole thing
around something I started on an idea about Drew Carey. Why I
like fluffy pony is because it is a lot like improv, which I got
into watching Drew Carey. You take and idea and roll with it.
A lot of skits are similar, because a lot of improvers go to the
same place with the same input. It's natural, it's fun, you
just have to step up and deliver. Tab, as long as you write as
well as you normally do, we will love whatever you write, even
if it is a similar idea to what has already been written.

Great minds think alike, Tabula. Each of us has our own unique
approach to writing about fluffy ponies. Just because an idea
has been done doesn't mean you can't provide your own
interpretation. That's how a lot of my stories start. I see an
idea and I develop my own take on it. Like when Vanner came up
with fuzzy ponies and I rolled with it.
