Framework General Discussion

Thank you to Mayclore for the idea of setting up a forum post
for the Fall of Cleveland collaboration when we were still on
Ponibooru. Thank you lordanubis for suggesting this site so we
can be free of discouraging remarks (we have enough good writers
here for internal critique!) and so that I can have fun messing
around with forum settings while you great artists are
collaborating.
This post formerly housed the general framework of the fall, and
our posting timeline. Thanks to the Twilight-Sparkleesque
organization of our collaborators, all of that information has
been sub-divided and placed into specific threads on the forum.
We are well into the plan now, so if you are new (Ginger_Fig,
DeathProofPony, if you remember you wanted in on this and come
here, I am talking to you) please read carefully what has been
posted, and feel free to ask questions here. Especially useful
are the To-Do lists and Timeline.
Otherwise, this thread is now pretty much a party thread
celebrating the responses we are getting from the community.

That Phase 2 description has me all excited. But I don't know if
I want River to be the reason the fluffies come to Cleveland.
She's already going to be partly responsible for the destruction
of the city, I'd rather the cause of their influx be something
else. Something independent of River and Hasbro and Drew Carey.
The more individual elements, the more opportunity for story.
River's psychic powers are more on the receiving end that the
broadcasting end. It's the sudden mass of fluffies that
overloads her mind and sends out the psychic signal. It's going
to be something she's never done before, or ever will again.

so I'm considering writing that Fluffy 2.0 story I suggested,
adding to my contributions
and I suppose I'll have maybe 2-3 stories following the Glue
Factory guy, ending with him narrowly escaping Cleveland before
the bomb drops
also I had an idea to run by everyone involving military combat
with the Fluffies, what if they tried to either:
A. Drive the Fluffies away with loud music (namely Cleveland
Rocks by The Presidents Of The United States Of America)
B. Or just boosted troop moral with loud music (same song of
course)
sort of inspired by World War Z... point is this song should be
used at some point >>

One of the key points of Fluffy pony has always been grim-derp.
I think that with a semi serious story like this, we should try
to make it as reasonable as possible while making sure the
fluffies are the creators of their own destruction.
Here's something to think about: There's a nuclear plant a few
dozen miles north of Cleveland. (

physic Drew Carry seems quite silly, though fluffies just asking
for help seems much more plausible. Heck, he could even like the
little guys.
What I'm saying is that psychic fluffies pushes the
believability envelope to the limit. Giving Drew Carey pyschic
power and command of the military is just absurd.

Fluff raises an excellent point. Fluffies are at their best when
they're their own cause of death.
Drew isn't going to be psychic, he's just going to be the one
who picks up River's message. Maybe others hear it, I don't
know. What matters is that he hears this emphatic plea while
he's debating whether to launch this weapon. It doesn't
necessarily have to be with the military's permission. Maybe a
fluffy abuser club has been setting up dirty bombs everywhere
and he gets his hands on the master switch.
As for the nuclear plant, there's our origin of the zombie
fluffies. Exposure to heavy doses of radiation melt their little
heads until the only thing they can think about it wanting
spaghetti. Brains looks like a bunch of spaghetti jammed into a
skull. Fluffy want brains.

Drew Carey was a Marine from 1980 to 1986, and achieved a rank
higher than one of the personnel assigned to the bombing of
Hiroshima. While it is unlikely that he would be directly
assigned the capacity to launch a weapon, I am sure I can come
up with a way to put him with his finger at the button. Not
that I wouldn't mind a nudge from anyone who might write the
military handbook for what to do in the case of a Fluffy
Invasion.
Drew's nudge from "River" (I am not a fan of that name, I don't
want people asking if she had a brother named Simon) will be
downplayed as a strange feeling, not a direct message.
Cleveland Rocks must be included somewhere. I like the concept
of using it as psychological warfare against Fluffies and want
to include such a tactic in my own story about Drew. Of course
though, what epic event would be complete without arc music? I
say work in the song where ever possible.
Finally, my understanding is that Ghost got fed up with the Anon
who was spamming gore. If any of you can contact him (her? I
feel like having a gender rolecall just so I know what pronoun
to use for you all) I would like to see if he'd be interested.
Again, I leave that up to you; I swear I want to be as hands-off
as possible. If any of you know another artist we haven't
invited, feel free to invite them or let me know so I can invite
them.
