Evil genius idea time:
> put a house of mirrors next to spaghetti tower.
> hide fake spaghetti plate where it will reflect off all the
mirrors.
> fluffy leaves house of mirrors hungry for some spaghetti.

Epic. We're officially making the leap from hugbox dreamers to
tourist trap designers.
Fluffy carnival games need the mix of "so easy a fluffy can do
it" and "obvious design flaw that will cause an eventual death
story (replacements available at MSRP)" or "Will cause havoc
when in the hands of feral herds upon takeover." The way I am
interpreting the concept so far is that the games are impossible
to lose, and you are basically buying the opportunity to make
the fluffy feel good (but not the good feel) at winning while
you buy them a toy. Ideas I have so far:
Bowler Roller / Dip Bowling - in which the "win zone" is
downhill from the start position and has a ridge on the other
side. Cue at least one fluffy putting too much "umph" into
their roll and rolling themselves down the rails into the win
zone, only to have the ball return from the other side to squash
them.
Water Balloon Race - the water gun is fixed at a pressure/angle
that will unfailingly fill the target. No water baloon or
creepy clown that might scare the fluffy, but the concept has to
be simple unlike the racecar/horse concept. Eventually a feral
herd can use this as an execution device. >Fluffy pony drowns™
A similar effect can be made with a game that mixes Knocking
Over Milk Bottles with the Ball Gun for Knocking Over Clown
Teeth game.
Bell Ring strength test - If the target is hit in any way, bell
rings. If it is still a weight shooting up to hit the bell, a
makeshift guillotine is formed.
Skee Ball - ... ... ... I don't know. I just want to see a
fluffy and skeeball. 8)

What say after all this is over we all pool our money and open
an animal-themed amusement park? Best case scenario, we all get
rich. Worst case scenario, the city gets destroyed. Who's with
me?

I think we could have a mix of "guaranteed to win, you're
basically paying through the nose for a fluffy toy" and
"actually takes skill to beat it, fluffies will keep asking for
retries at the expense of your wallet."

Bowler Roller - There's an idea. They end up rolling down with
the ball and get nabbed by that thing that sweeps away the
knocked over pins. Cue the game being shut down because there
are now bits of fluffy jamming up the machine.
Water Balloon Race - The water is shot by a fluffy jumping up
and down on a button.
Bell Ring - We could have the weight be outside of the slider,
and now you have a head crusher.
Skee Ball - I got an idea in my head...

These are some great ideas!
Even though I'm one of the most pro-fluffy people, even I have
my doubts about most Fluffies being at all capable of winning a
game of skill, so I imagine that most of, if not all, the games
would be simple things a fluffy could do, and you've actually
already bought the prize that fluffy "wins" to make them feel
good.
Another thing I recall from real life amusement parks - Canada's
Wonderland does this, and I'm sure others do too - is the
multiplayer "contest" kind of carnival game. "A winner every
time", but still profitable.
The trick is that you must have at least three people playing to
win a "small" prize, or six for the "big" prize. And it's $5 per
person to play. So actually, even though a prize is given away
every time, the game still profits because they're effectively
selling the prizes for $15 or $30 - the players are just
competing to see who will get it.
I imagine this being the primary kind of "skill based" game that
requires multiple tries to win - since the only way I could
imagine a fluffy winning at a game of skill is if it's against
another fluffy.
Another thing I imagine being in there that might require
multiple tries would be a crane game ... fluffy could try and
win a stuffed toy. Since they're usually two-button affairs,
even a fluffy could operate one.
Extra fun possibility - one of the prizes included in some of
the games is a stuffed fluffy pony toy with a voice chip, that
says various things when hugged. Owners could be buying /
"winning" these for their fluffies as it's much cheaper than
buying a second fluffy, and most fluffy ponies couldn't tell the
difference between the toy and a real fluffy (it says it loves
them and tells them they're pwetty, it can be hugged, they can
bounce a ball off it and think they're "pwaying").
I'm just imagining a feral herd coming across a crane game
filled with these and thinking it's a fluffy prison ... or
better yet, a herd that ends up adopting one of the plush toys
as their smarty friend. (Then watch that herd be one of the ones
that survives, on account of their smarty's above-average
leadership. XD)
Just tossing out some silly ideas. :)

Getting a stuffed fluffy with a voice chip is fucking genius.
That would have to be one of the "big" prizes, maybe have some
games that are human-oriented that the owners can play and have
the stuffed fluffy be the big prize.
The idea of a herd adopting a toy is hilarious.
I can safely say that there are going to be a lot of very funny
shorts centered around fluffy carnival games.

I'm actually enamoured enough of the Smarty Friend doll idea
I've actually written a couple of little story fragments for it.
I'll post 'em in Story Bits.
I know I'm along as an art guy, but hopefully someone could take
these silly ideas and perhaps refine them into something useful.

The east side of town. That way the herds from the west have to
go through the city to get to it.
Look up 'Blueberry Hills Estates' in google maps. I think
that'll be a good spot to put it.

I can't seem to find that. Found one in Florida, but not in
Cleveland. Is it really close to downtown?
