Fair or Unfair?

Hey guys,
This isn't studio related, so feel free to ignore it.
But I was just wondering, was my initial comment on this video
fair, or unfair, given what Spencer was saying?
It's just been bugging me a lot that's all. I don't want to seem
like a mean person for no reason...

what he said was so wrong, you can keep a good standing at
school and be active. i'm active. do homework home from school,

Not at all. Though if you want honesty, I think you both
overreacted. You to his vid, and him to your comment. I mean,
let him spew his rubbish. Whats important is the fact that he's
saying goodbye to the editing community. I'm just sorry that I
never realised he was a guy. (?!?!)
LOL! Seriously? I can never tell anyone's gender without there
being a clue in their username.

I actually feel the same way!! I don't think it was
unreasonable....
I mean we all know that living on youtube *cough*me*cough* can
get a little too much sometimes especially with exams or
whatever but.... It should be a personal decision if you can
manage it or not...
I edit a LOT and I'm still one of the best students in my class
and hang out with my friens!! so it doesn't really affect my
social life..excpet calm me down and kinda give a creative
release..

haha ME NEITHER!!! It's always sooo awkward when you need to use
the third person and don't know if you should use he or she^^

I hated how he implied that everyone who edits is making a bad
decision by saying that it's our life and he can't change our
minds >.> I was really peeved when I saw it. Honestly, some
people can balance school and editing. That's like saying you
shouldn't read or have an hobbies at all because they're
distracting from friends and school >.> I for one always put my
friends and school work over editing. That's fine if it's too
much for him to handle but implying that it's the best decision
for all editors is rude and egotistical. I don't think you
overreacted at all Dannie, you just pointed out the flaws in his
logic :P
And that's my rant for the day ^^

I actually don't understand what he was saying (sorry, today I
couldn't sleep so I'm not focused on anything), so I just want
to say that if he says he leaves the edition because he doesn't
have time or he have more important things to do, I think that
he doesn't like editing video...
Well, I'm doing a double university career (in one of the bests
Universities from here and one of the 200 bests Univerities of
the world) which I am passing with good notes (so yeah, I study
everyday) but in a day I also edit videos, make some things for
DeviantArt, make home tasks (I live in a student's flat and it
looks just great, so clean, without mom's help! XDD) and I'm
thinking of go to clases of English and Japanese.
So if he leaves the edition of vids it's just because he doesn't
like it or he just prefers other things. 24 hours in a day it's
enough to do all the things you want and to sleep.
PS: It's ironical that I say that 24 hours it's enough to do all
you want and to sleep when I didn't sleep today, but it was
because there was storm and... I was scared....

That's exactly what I'd said! A personal decision! And he
shouldn't be encouraging editors otherwise. There are so many
out there who have 0 confidence, and who consider leaving
because of the point where they're at, and hearing that from an
"idolistic editor" (he was NEVER my idol - just someone who
relies heavily on overlays) could push their decision too
hastily and stop them from reaching their potential...
And OMG - it helps me calm down too! I have anxiety, and editing
REALLY helps my brain focus on other things...

HAHAHA I DO THAT TOO!!! SO AWKWARD!!!! Especially if they pick a
male character as their channel icon. Just makes me think all
these women are men, and I say things like "man" and "dude" to
them, and they get all awkward...

And here's a fun fact: He actually originally left because
Marleen (AviiAvatar03) told him off for stealing all her
songs/ideas from her own videos!! He was so embarrassed at being
caught out, that he just upped and left!
I just never got why he was so "big" you know? His videos were
only good clip choices and an extremely heavy overlay. His old
videos used to be so much better.
Haha he'd actually blocked my account from commenting on his
videos, because we'd had an argument before (I don't even
remember what about) so that's why I'd commented on my missdoona
account.
But just for a fun treat for any of you in a curious mood,
here's the pm he'd sent me after my comment:

wasn't a "nasty" comment, it was a passionate one.
The truth hurts Spencer, so grow up, stop being such an immature
baby, and get used to it, you have a lot to learn.
And you blocked me because you're a coward, and aren't strong
enough to face what people really think of you.
Now actually read what I have to say, instead of exploding and
not reading it, because you "know better than everyone else".
You used to be considered as the top dog around here. Probably
not to me, personally, but to almost everyone else here.
You TELLING them, to quit editing, is like a celebrity singer,
telling young hopefuls to give up on their dreams. It's like RWJ
telling YOU to stop vlogging, because it's too hard.
And some fans actually listen to their idols.
So don't turn your back on them Spencer! :(
The only reason I'm about to start at this film school, is
because of my editing here. Don't let someone else miss out on
their opportunity to gain all they can from this, by telling
them it's a waste of time.

Moral of the story: don't get on my bad side xD
Which is pretty hard, seeing as everyone else in the editing
community is quite lovely ♥

All that in my free time in afternoon. In the morning I study,
go to the gym and then I go to clases. But now I'm on hollidays
untill 12th febrary xDD
He's just... stupid. Sorry to say, but if you steal songs or
ideas and you get caught out, just change your edition, try to
start again, don't leave it!

He's just a problematic guy. He doesn't accept critiques or
comments if you aren't "adoring" him. If he had a lot of fans, I
think that the fame grows him up... I don't know how to say it
XDD Just he think is better than he is because of his fans (?).
