Having trouble creating a character and writing a bio? Don't
worry, you can try filling out this questionnaire to get to know
all about your character.
The original article is here
HTML http://wow.joystiq.com/2012/02/25/help-your-roleplay-character-along-with-a-character-questionaire/,<br
/>I suggest you read that as well as there's lots of good stuff
on
developing your character. Credit for this goes to Anne
Stickney.
Instructions: Answer the following
questions about the history and background of your potential
character. It's a great way to help organize your thoughts and
understand what you want to do.
What kind of place did they grow up in? Was it a small village
or town or a large city? Were the people there friendly or
rough? Who did they interact with there?
What social class did they grow up in? Are they in the same
social class now? If not, how did it change? Are they happy
about this change?
What did they aspire to do when they were growing up? What work
did they do as a child? Were they apprenticed to someone? If
not, what did they do? How did they make their living? Do they
do the same thing now? If not, what do they do now and why is it
different?
What about their background do they remember fondly? What about
their background do they dislike? What about their background do
they regret or want to forget?

them, or are they now married? If not, why not? Are they
interested in romance right now? What about a potential partner
interests them?
What were their friends like growing up? Are they still in
contact with any of their friends? If not, why? What happened?
What has brought them to where they are now in life?
What are the three most important experiences to them? Which
three experiences had the greatest impact upon them in their
life?
Who in their life has had the greatest impact upon them and
currently influences their decisions?
better and know how you want him or her to act or be.

want this most?
How do they go about getting what they want in life?
What kind of mundane pleasures do they seek? Why?
How would they describe myself (physical appearance,
temperament) to someone? How do they view myself? How do they
want others to view them? How well-kept are they? Do they bathe
and groom regularly? How do they feel about their appearance?
What is their biggest character flaw? (Every character has at
least one -- look at character flaws as something that makes
your character more human and more interesting, not as a
weakness to be avoided.)
What do they hide from others? What secrets do they keep?
Who do they like to associate with? Why?
How do they act around family? How much does their family mean
to them? Would they give their life for a family member's life?

earthquake, evil villain) threatened their life? The life of a
friend? The life of a family member? The life of a total
stranger?

[spoiler= Character Personality Questionnaire, Part
2]Instructions: Answer the following questions regarding your

more minor details to help flesh out your character's
personality even more.
Does your character accept responsibility for his or her
actions?
What are your character's everyday hobbies?
How would your character react if he or she were the only
witness to a murder?
Could your character have any mental problems?
What facial expressions does your character most frequently use?
Is your character smart? Does he or she excel in classes? Or is
he or she more street-smart?

enjoys traveling?

he or she really enjoy?

your character play?

What does your character think of holidays? Does your character
celebrate the holidays? Does he or she have a favorite?

Does your character tend to brag?
Okay, it'll take a long time and plenty of deep thought, but the
end result - a very excellent character sketch - will be worth
it. :)
