Having trouble creating a character and writing a bio? Don't
worry, you can try filling out this questionnaire to get to know
all about your character.
The original article is here
HTML http://wow.joystiq.com/2012/02/25/help-your-roleplay-character-along-with-a-character-questionaire/,<br
/>I suggest you read that as well as there's lots of good stuff
on
developing your character. Credit for this goes to Anne
Stickney.
Instructions: Answer the following
questions about the history and background of your potential
character. It's a great way to help organize your thoughts and
understand what you want to do.
What kind of place did they grow up in? Was it a small village
or town or a large city? Were the people there friendly or
rough? Who did they interact with there?
What social class did they grow up in? Are they in the same
social class now? If not, how did it change? Are they happy
about this change?
What did they aspire to do when they were growing up? What work
did they do as a child? Were they apprenticed to someone? If
not, what did they do? How did they make their living? Do they
do the same thing now? If not, what do they do now and why is it
different?
What about their background do they remember fondly? What about
their background do they dislike? What about their background do
they regret or want to forget?
Did they have any significant others? Are they still with any of
them, or are they now married? If not, why not? Are they
interested in romance right now? What about a potential partner
interests them?
What were their friends like growing up? Are they still in
contact with any of their friends? If not, why? What happened?
What has brought them to where they are now in life?
What are the three most important experiences to them? Which
three experiences had the greatest impact upon them in their
life?
Who in their life has had the greatest impact upon them and
currently influences their decisions?

Instructions:
Answer the following questions regarding your character's

and groom regularly? How do they feel about their appearance?
What is their biggest character flaw? (Every character has at
least one -- look at character flaws as something that makes

How would they react if someone or something (animal,
earthquake, evil villain) threatened their life? The life of a
friend? The life of a family member? The life of a total
stranger?

When do they break these laws or their personal code? Why?
What do they want their future to be like? What is the best-case
scenario, the worst, and something in between? Figure out these
scenarios -- how will they respond to them?
Is your character the type to hurt or kill? Would they feel
remorse for doing so? What justifies harming another? Would your
character harm or kill himself or herself? Why? What scenarios
would drive your character into these situations?
What is a life of paradise to your character? What is
hell?
[spoiler= Character Personality Questionnaire, Part
2]Instructions: Answer the following questions regarding your
character's personality below. These questions are much less
important than the ones in part one and tend to focus on the

personality even more.
Does your character accept responsibility for his or her
actions?
What are your character's everyday hobbies?

Okay, it'll take a long time and plenty of deep thought, but the
end result - a very excellent character sketch - will be worth
it. :)
