When you’re ready to establish your local grassroots coalition
and start working to get grassroots candidates elected, creating
an online space is one of the first steps you’ll need to take.
This space will be essential for discussion, candidate and
volunteer education, planning, and overall organization. It
doesn’t matter if you use a platform like Discord
  HTML https://discord.com/
or build a forum through a service like
       CreateAForum.com
  HTML https://www.createaforum.com/.
What matters is setting it up in
a way that’s functional and welcoming for your community.
The structure of your online space is important. You’ll want to
create sections that make it easy for people to find the
resources they need and participate in relevant discussions.
Think about areas for general discussion, volunteer
coordination, candidate support, campaign strategy, and anything
else that fits the needs of your coalition. The goal is to keep
it organized while fostering collaboration and engagement among
       members.
If you’re looking for inspiration, check out Edmonton People's
       Coalition

       ce. It’s been designed with
these principles in mind and will continue to be updated to
serve as a strong example of what an online grassroots space can
look like. By setting up your own online hub, you’re creating a
foundation for your coalition to grow and succeed. It’s a vital
step toward organizing a movement that gets real grassroots
candidates elected and makes a lasting impact.
