Just because I want to write for my character, it'll be starring
Harvey! Inspired by Radioactive by Imagine Dragons.
The world has changed. The sun never sets. There is no
artificial lights inside. Houses are only used for sleeping, and
because of so they are only one room, with a bed. Some people
can't afford a house and sleep outside. Plants are grown in
artificial planters. That regulate when the sun sets. People are
injected with a special radioactive serum, that makes them
immune to long hours of constant sun, as well as able to work 18
hours straight, with minimum fatigue. But this significantly
shortens their life-span. Because they are always in the sun,
with the serum each person is a nice red color. The world is
under a dictator and work many long hours. This story is written
to tell how things are in the messed up future from the point of
       view of my character Harvey!
Harvey once was a very nice, loving, caring and happy little
person. She was nice and sweet and never wished harm to anyone.
Though, with many years stuck in hiding and isolation, never
getting reprieve from the sun, constantly on the run, she gave
all of that up to be a hard-core, tough, trustless person. Able
to make it through the hardest of conditions. She missed the old
days of play-time and fun, but she never let it show.
She never let herself get emotional over anything. She was
in total control of herself. Whether it be swallowing sadness
and the need to cry, or swallowing pride and rage; she could
summon these emotions anytime necessary. These skills she
perfected over the many years she spent on the run. Everyone she
knew and loved had been taken as prisoners. Used for labor.
Worked practically to death, but they couldn't die. Harvey had
lost all motivation, all care, she felt dead inside.
I'm waking up, to ash and dust.. The sun is too much. It
never rests. I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust. Not literal
rust, but I haven't tried to break into anywhere in years. That
is my rust. I'm breathing in the chemicals... That means I'm
close. I'm breaking in. Shaping up. Then checking out on the
prison bus. Maybe I'll be able to save a few of the ones I care
about. If not, I'll join them.
Harvey sometimes hated her cat traits, her cat ears' fur
would always be soaking wet here, her tail always drenched in
sweat as well. The only thing she was grateful for was her short
hair. She had managed to keep it short despite the many years of
wandering. Harvey had many other differences, for instance her
skin was not red; it was a nice tan.
Harvey continued to walk forward, she knew the encampment
was around here somewhere. She looked to her left, there was a
set of guards, she looked to the right, another set. Both
guarding the gate, they were about to spot her. She wasn't going
to fight it, there would be nowhere to hide on this barren
wasteland. The dirt was hard, cracked and orangish red. Perfect
for a barren wasteland. The guards took a few steps forward, and
turned to check both directions. And at the same time all of
them spotted her. She smiled. This was going to be fun. “I'm
breaking in, and shaping up.” She repeated to herself. She
prepared for a fight, this was going to be too much fun.
She jumped up and sprinted forward a few yards, allowing
herself some more time before the guards could catch up. She
reached for her kunai, preparing two in one hand. She waited a
moment, and launched at the guards coming up from her right.
Both were direct hits to the throat, both guards were down.
“Boring.” She breathed as she went for the next set of kunai.
These guards looked a bit different. Their uniforms were more
sophisticated, and their eyes seemed to be more intimidating.
She felt anxious. “This might be a good fight.” she whispered to
       herself.
“You there! Halt!” Yelled the lead guard with as much
       authority as he could muster.
Harvey chuckled, and aimed her kunai, releasing them, with
as much accuracy as before. But these guards were ready, one
brought his hand up to catch it, and he did, while the other
simply jumped out of the way.
“Darn, I'll have to actually look for those later. I can't
just pull them out of your corpses.” She said with sincere
disappointment. Her tail flicked and her ears perked. Maybe this
       would be a fun fight,
One guard went to her left one guard went to her right. They
were ready to double her. She back-flipped back to put each
guard in front of her. She smiled.
“Hmph. Don't make this boring.”Harvey stated as she launched
her attack on the guard more to her left. She had a kunai in her
hand, ready to use as a knife against the man's throat. He
countered it with good agility. She wasn't expecting a counter,
but never-the-less did not left his counter touch her. She knew
the second guard would be attacking soon. She readied to kick
him, which was successful. She believed the first guard would be
ready to attack again, so she simply back-stepped and avoided
       it.
Heh, I'm waking up, this shall be an interesting fight. I
feel it in my bones. The adrenaline is building, enough to make
       my system blow.
