Been streaming movies & new series the last few days. Finally
caught up w Night Agent S2. OMG...that show had me on the edge
the entire second season. Thats one of my favorite shows now.
Cant wait for S3.
Watched Faster starring the Rock. I love revenge movies. Its
the get back for me. They're all basically the same. Somebody
kills/kidnaps the family or friend, and then the pursuit it on!
Rock plays no games in this one. He's straight to the
butta....lol!!!
Checked out Venom 3: The Last Dance. It was aight, but I think
its ran its course. How many more symbioses can their be?
Tried starting The Agency over again....and still can't get thru
E1. Its just too slow for me.
Next Up: Zero Day w Robert DeNiro, and Back in Action w Jamie
Foxx/Cameron Diaz.

Couldn't get into S2 of the Recruit. Maybe I'll go back to it
at some point. But I did like Night Agent. Plan to watch Zero
Day as well.
Right now I'm in the middle of Reacher. Sucks that Prime only
dropped three episodes and now doing one per week. If you like
revenge shows, this season of Reacher has him wanting to atone
for the killing of one of his best & brightest investigators
from back in his Army days. Read all the Lee Child books so I
like this show a lot.

I started Reacher thinking it was the entire season...boooooo.
So, I won't be back to finish that until the season finale.
Reacher is adapted from a book? I didn't know that. Only
know the movies/tv shows. My 2 favorite espionage/crime authors
are Tom Clancy (Jack Ryan series [emoji173]) & Walter Mosley
(Easy Rawlins series).

OK, half way thru the 6 episodes. Very thought provoking and
crazy as heck!!! Was reading that real cyber security people
watched and commented on the show. They felt that the idea is
plausible but the execution or results aren't.

We enjoyed Zero Day. I think that this series has it all. A
great script, premise, terrific casting and acting, wonderful
dialogue and an almost believable plot.
On the funny side- Obviously this was made before the election.
Black female president that looks like Kamala Harris, Robert De
Niro as an ex president that dropped out of the race and decided
not to run and is plagued with dementia symptoms.
My serious thought is the series is more than a nod to real
life with the link between unscrupulous ambitious politicians
and tech billionaires. All completely possible in the current
world.

Yeah, Lee Child wrote over 25 Reacher books. Each season is
based on a different book. So, a lot more material to cover if
they so choose. Alan Ritchson, who plays Reacher in the Prime
series, is more like the book character - 6'5" of muscle with a
mean streak who will do whatever has to be done. The movies
with 5'8" Tom Cruise were a total miscast. But that was done to
attract an audience to the theaters with Cruise one of the top
box office draws. Good movies, but I wasn't thrilled with the
portrayal.
I like Clancy and the Jack Ryan series as well.
If you like crime authors, have you read Michael Connelly's
Bosch series? Prime turned his books into a well-done series
as well. There are 7 seasons on Prime about an ex-military
tunnel rat turned LA homicide detective. Then a service called
Freevee, which can be seen on Prime, did another three seasons.
Connelly is also the author of "the Lincoln Lawyer." Like with
"Reacher," the book became a movie of the same name starring
Matthew McConaughey. Then Netflix converted the books to a
series. Also pretty good with a "who dunnit so I can get my
client free" theme.

Ok, good to know stuff. I love Lincoln Lawyer....the movie and
the show.

Finally finished it today. Yeah, its very thought provoking.
Initially, I thought it was foreign interference but I guess
that was just too simple. Angela Bassett looks NOTHING like
Kamala....sorry to tell ya. We don't all look alike....lol.
But the idea of a black female prez, and DiNero's part is
definite a nod to current times. Him losing his son,
depression, and what appears to be some mental health issues. I
think his character wrestled w all of these things plus the
spiked meds. However, it came to a head as he spoke at the
end. His honesty, mental capacity, and loyalty to the American
people was very much intact.
The idea of politicians and billionaires doing whatever is very
plausible and real. Look at Russia. As technology has
advanced, the world IMO has become worse. When tech is made for
something good, you best believe there will be 10K ways to use
it for evil. We live in an evil world...periodt. With that
being said, I do think the "bad guys" (Congress) initially had
good intentions, but the route they took to do it was flawed.
They wanted America unified by an act of cyberterrorism (similar
to 911), but they allowed the plan to go on even though it
wasn't working.
Very good series. I liked it. Why does Matthew Modine always
end up a bad guy in a movie...LOL!!!! Never thought I'd see
"Colson" as a billionaire bad guy financier....lol!!
