San Andreas Sheriff’s Department
Department of Corrections
Handbook
The Rank Structure
The rank system go as follows:
Trainee,Officer,Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain.
Responsibilities
*
Trainee - The duties of a Correctional Officer I are limited,
these members of the division are in effect probationers
training how to become a member of the DoC. They will follow
orders from every member of the DoC that holds a rank above
them. FTO will train the CO I’s, so that they are eligible to
sit their CTO and become a CO II.
*
Officer - The duties of a Correctional Officer II are less
limited than a CO I. They are now a full member of the DoC and
have been trained fully. They are eligible to join FTO and to
train and hire new Cadets. These members should set an example
to CO II’s in both manners and behaviour.
*
Sergeant - A Sergean is regarded as a Supervisor within the DoC.
They inforce policies created by higher command. A corporal will
typically be a Deputy Director of a Sub-Division.
*
Lieutenant - A Lieutenant is Low Command of the DoC, these
members will be directors of divisions and will have to work
hard to maintain their ranks. Sergeants have the ability to
right up and suspend other members but need a Lieutenant or
higher to terminate a member of Staff.
*
Captain - The Captain is the Warden and holds all the duties of
the Lieutenant. He makes the final say in all department related
issues and policies.
