She most likely had the Water Rune when she was killed.

I decided to go back through the last thread to look at
possibly-scummy people who were throwing out suspicion,
regardless of whether actual votes took place (this list is not
comprehensive):
- bar_scotch implying suspicion of ranch and Maria at the end.
This is after they voted me earlier in the thread for
volunteering the fact that I can't have runes.
- cookies calling out a slew of inactive people early on
- cookies calling people wimps for not voting, yelling at
someone for backing out on voting in order to force a tie for
more time, and voting me because I'm annoying
- Maria implying suspicion at GU due to his asking for public
clarification of mafia rules
- Steve implying suspicion at GU for inactivity
- whatsgoingon is chill because he thinks I'm lul
It may come across as biased because they were two of the people
that voted me, but my suspicion is currently on bar_scotch and
cookies. I understand I was having a little bit of fun with
things on the first day, but at the very least I offered some
information about runes and tried to work through some
suspicions that other people were having. How that could be
construed as "lack of play" (cookies quote) or not having
"contributed strongly" (bar_scotch), let alone the fact that two
people supposedly came to that same conclusion separately, is a
little fishy to me. If anyone disagrees, that's fine, may just
be my bias.
Back to what I said in my previous post, I feel like the mafia
would have voted together. So the mafia is most likely either
bar_scotch/cookies or Maria/EatScum. I agree with GU that
EatScum isn't giving off a particularly scummy vibe.
Also, in my experience, town tends to not point suspicion at
multiple people at once. bar_scotch and cookies both did that in
the last thread, and I believe they were the only people to do
so (could be wrong on that though).

I like the thoughts Diddles. Both of those cookies and
bar_scotch did seem to kind of be on the same side of things
early on and then bar_scotch pointed more fingers at the end. I
do think though it's pretty circumstantial plus it's hard to
decide who to vote on day 1.
I'm also curious about the idea of voting together as a sign of
suspicion. You said the mafia would want to vote together to
maximize the prospect of someone getting lynched. I agree they
generally would. They wouldn't necessarily need to do that
though since it's simple majority rule when under 6 votes. If we
suppose they are the two mafia, then as long as neither one of
them was being pressured/voted (and they weren't, I believe), I
don't see a necessary motivation for them to vote together. They
would know that some townie is getting lynched anyway.
Those are my thoughts on the voting-together argument, but I'm
curious to hear the other side too.

So much to read, so much to say…
As I see it, here are my thoughts for and against some of the
players that have been suspected as possible mafia so far (there
was too much to read for me to really form an opinion right now
on cookies, Maria, and barscotch, but I might read through later
and post):
GreatUsername- People seem pretty convinced that GU is town
because of his roleclaim, but I am far from certain. I still
find the browsing anonymously thing very suspicious, and just
find his general posting style kind of shifty. Coming forward
with a roleclaim makes sense when the heat was on him whether or
not he is mafia, and there are all sorts of reasons almost any
rune roleclaim was a fairly safe move (especially if he thinks
he will be lynched if he doesn’t). He could be mafia and have
started with that rune, and if runes cycle between townies and
mafia, I actually think that it’s highly likely. If runes are
town and mafia specific, it would be too easy to figure out who
mafia are, and I think Nate designed this more carefully than
that. In such a scenario, starting runes would likely be
randomized. Also, the mafia has more information than we do
about how the game works, there being 2-3 of them, making it
easier to roleclaim in general. Mostly, I want to point out that
cycling runes greatly change the dynamics of this game and makes
it easier to roleclaim, and I don’t want to get into the habit
of assuming those who roleclaim aren’t mafia.
Mr. Diddles: So I went to check when people brought it up and
Mr. Diddle’s death doesn’t say anything about his role or being
town. In theory, Mafia may have weird powers that would have
allowed them to pull that to get one of them as a confirmed
townie, but this seems highly unlikely. However, if this was an
oversight by the host (as last night was confusing enough as
is), it would be awesome to know what we learned when he died,
just for peace of mind ***(HINT HINT HOST)***. Even if we don’t
get confirmation, I think we need to treat him as confirmed town
with the information we have, but be willing to reevaluate that
later if new evidence comes out.
ranch_dressing_fan: I agree that it’s suspicious that they put a
vote in at the last minute yesterday, but not terribly so. I
find their excuse plausible given how confusing everything was
in the last few minutes yesterday (I came home to about 5 pages
of posts). In short, I’m wary of ranch, but not convinced
they’re scum.
Yettopost: I don’t think that not posting is a sign in either
direction of being scum; it’s a sign of being busy. I don’t
think players should be penalized for not being top
contributors, but when they really aren’t adding anything, they
actually aren’t very helpful even as town.
Also, @diddly: I don’t think it’s necessarily scum behavior to
‘cast suspicion’ on multiple players. Arguably I did that
yesterday (I said I would lynch either GreatUsername or
yettopost), and more arguably I am doing that now. It’s a good
idea to point out all suspicious behavior, not just that of the
player you most suspect, because then that information is
available if you die.
Also: Did anyone hold the water rune the first night? If so,
what did it do? This seems like relatively harmless information
to get out in the open.

tossed aside all suspicion for the main parties involved who do

I love scum for brunch's posts! I'd really appreciate hearing
your read on me! It's interesting that you neglect to mention
SteveStevenson at all in your post, bud!
I'm still suspicious of GU's roleclaim, and I don't truly
believe it until it's potentially verified.
I'd like to play through Diddles as the leader, and if there's
questions for me, I'll happily answer.
I post in bursts because I wake up and want to play, get home
from work and want to play...I'm having fun!
BS agrees with me a lot.

Just as a fun way to start discussion: COOKIES' POWER RANKINGS
1) Cookies (the only person I can say with certainty is
town...that isn't kamehameha)
2) Mr. Diddles (he's the [hopefully, if the setup isn't really
wonky] clear)
3) scum for brunch (good comprehensive posts that show analysis
of everyone, (s)he's at least trying)
4) SteveStevenson (chimes in with timely posts that have pretty
good townie thought to them)
5) GreatUsername (roleclaimed and divulged a lot of information
that can be checked, paranoia seems townish but I think it's
just the way he acts, could still be scummy)
6) Marvin Gaye aka whatsgoingon (that recap post looked pretty
darn good in my eyes!)
7) Maria (I can never trust her)
8) yet to post (latest post says they agree for the most part,
doesn't actually voice the disagreement...why not? generally
barebones posting)
9) ranch (I don't believe that vote was intended to balance what
was going on at all, and it came out of left field with no
explanation attached to it originally)
10) BS (it's in the name)
