Stars of Destiny Mafia Day 1 - A New Beginning

All across the land of America there was peace and quiet.
Everyone rejoiced for the peace the land had finally achieved.
Times had merged. Heroes, past villains, and others came
together as a happy flock.
That is until the first sign of evil presence stirred. A pall of
despair crept through the town as a people once happy realized
they were doomed to face one final wickedness. This was their
chance to purge the town once and for all and secure its peace.
A white light engulfed the citizens, blinding and paralyzing
them. They knew this was the power of the earth sending its
final warning.
ALL PLAYERS HAVE BEEN ROLEBLOCKED.
The Earth could sustain this might no longer. It would begin to
crumble with each advance evil made on the town. It was up to
the citizens now. Their battle had begun.

I will unvote when our 11th player makes an account and posts,
or when I decide I want to vote for someone else. If the last
player is scum, they're not going to get away with it that
easily.
Also, I'll just go ahead and say that I'm Jake. Someone else
(possibly bar_scotch?) now knows which username I am, but no one
need worry that we are going to discuss mafia outside of the
thread.
Anyone want to hazard a guess at what is going on in this game?

If I were to hazard a guess at the setup, my guess is it's
chaotic and lots of stuff will be hitting the fan.

Well, that's exciting. Also confusing, flipping between
different discussion boards.
Hey Jake! Yet to post did post in the other discussion board.
I'm not sure I am who you think I am, but it's good to see you
in another mafia game.
It is my firm belief that a good number of the players have no
idea what to make of these new roles/ rules, thus the pretty
inactive first day. I think we should meta the ones popping in
late to the party, as they probably had the most questions
regarding their scum roles. So whatsgoingon, Mr. Diddles,
yettopost, here's looking at you.

I agree that the last players might have been confused on their
roles and that's probably why they took longer to join us.
Hinting that they are mafia. I am a bit confused on how everyone
was role blocked. Any ideas?

Posted as of this morning- albeit in the inactive thread, with
the "username" Nate gave him. Trying to play it off like he was
here all along and I just failed to notice? Anyway, I'll still
unvote.
Somehow I get the feeling that this is the type of game where if
we can figure out the rules, we will be in a much stronger
position to win. I'm actually more suspicious of the crazy rules
than fellow players right now. This is supposedly far from a
normal mafia game, so it may be foolish of us to just continue
playing as if nothing different were happening.
For all we know, this game could be following rules like:
- Several of the players are actually plants controlled by Nate
(unlikely since I don't think he has that much time on his hands
right now, but funny to consider)
- There are no mafia, so our challenge is to avoid massacring
each other
- There are no standard mafia, only potential traitors who can
become evil when the right triggers occur
- Lots of power, but events like "ALL PLAYERS ARE ROLE BLOCKED"
will occur unpredictably
This is not a fish for information about who occupies town power
roles. This is a strange game, but that doesn't mean we need to
be reckless. However, I'll share the relatively harmless
information that yesterday I had something called a Rune, and
today I have a different one. Since I'll bet that the same thing
happened to most if not all of you, let's just get that
information out in the open as soon as possible.

Oh god, I wouldn't put that past Nate. Turns out this is all
just some Sociology experiment, he makes everyone either
townspeople or unaffiliated to watch the world town burn and
take notes.

I don't think Nate would make a game where the town just kills
each other. That'd be a waste of the whole fancy setup.
