Far from romanticizing just ecosocial transition experiences, it
is essential to understand their contradictions, difficulties,
and internal and external obstacles. In this record,
multi-scalarity and political mediations are key elements. For
example, an ecosocial alternative restricted to small
communities and specific places, which are not related to other
experiences, is not the same as localized but non-localized
experiences that seek to build articulations and meanings beyond
their own territory. In a context of gradual deglobalization,
the temptation of a strong disconnect is strong. But for just
transitions to progress, we need the creation of strong regional
blocs, as well as moving in the direction of an eco-social

risks, mostly with
irreversible damage, which affect the population unequally. As
the economist Rubén Lo Vuolo points out, we need to overcome the

with the needs of the people than with the interests of

Without constant, coordinated and massive social mobilization,
this will hardly happen. It is not just about bringing together
climate movements or rethinking environmentalism, but also about
integrating a multiplicity of struggles that have not always
been connected to each other, but that in recent years have
tended to progressively adhere to the paradigm of just
transitions, contributing to advance in its different
dimensions: feminist, anti-racist, peasant, indigenous, animal
rights, trade union, popular economy and solidarity movements,
among others. Far from the individualistic solutions that emerge
