NSE trades N422.66m shares

A total of 422.66 million shares worth N2.9 billion were traded
in 5,709 deals on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday,
the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
Thursday’s trading dipped, against the 443.79 million shares
valued at N4.6 billion exchanged in 6 652 deals onWednesday.
NAN reports that the market indicators, however, depreciated due
to the price loss of some companies withblue-chips.
The All-Share Index depreciated by 268.22 pointsor 0.71 per
cent, to close at 37.286.50, against the 37 554.72 recorded on
Wednesday.
The market capitalisation, which opened at N11.893 trillion,
dropped by N85 billion or 0.71 per cent, to close at N11.808
trillion.
Nestle led the price losers’ chart with a loss of N49 to close
at N950 per share.
Total followed by shedding N8 to close at N152 per share, while
CAP dropped 4.83 to close at N43.47 per share.
Nigerian Breweries depreciated also by N1.98 to close at N170.01
per share, while Ashaka Cement lost 66k to close at N25 per
share.
On the other hand, ForteOil led the price gainers’ chart with
N3.96, to close at N43.56 per share.
MRS followed the gainer’s listwith N2.56, to close at N32.86 per
share, while NASCON grew by 73k to closeat N12.65 per share.
Champion appreciated by 68k to close at N11 per share, while
NAHCO rose by 42k to close N6.80 per share.
