Another Student Protest, As Ibadan Polytechnic Students Protest
       Power Outage!!

Adequate power supply is one of the important things an
individual need for a good living, and this is one problem we
Nigerians normally face (in adequate power supply)
The last time we experienced a similar protest like this was
when Ebonyi State University (EBSU) students held their own
protest last year because they had no wateras a result of power
outage, now the same issue but just a different school as
student of the Polytechnic, Ibadan brought the academic
activities to a halt on Monday as they blocked the school gate
to protest erratic power supply in theinstitution.
Some of the students that were interviewed said that: “Power
supply has been so terrible in the school recently. We stated
our plight to the authority. We have been experiencing perpetual
darkness at nights in the school since they carried out a repair
       work on the generator.
Reacting to the problem at hand, the Public Relations Officer of
the school Alhaji Soladoye Adewole, said: “We started having
problem with students when the power generating set went bad.
The generator required overhauling and it is takingtime to put
it in order. And he pleaded with the students saying “We
understand that the students were not happy about the situation
but thematter should have been tabled rather than engaging a
       protest.”
It was now decided and promised that power would be available
       between 6am and 7am and 8pm to 11pm daily.[br/][br/]•For More
