The smoke looks really nice but maybe adding some camera shake
in after affects to make it seem like the volcano is about to
erupt or is currently erupting. Also the ground seems kind of
flat maybe adding a texture or a bump map to make it seem more
rocky.

I think you should have added some more terrain and improve the
textures because the smoke is realistic but the terrain is
cartoon like. It doesn't work well together.

I definitely agree that more textures should be added. I also
think that the background seems a bit too uniform. Maybe adding
some larger mountains in the distance or some more rocks sitting
on the ground could add more interest.

The smoke looks very well done, but I do agree on adding some
camera shake and adding alittle more to your terrain. So to make
it more vibrant and realistic. Also think maybe adding some ash
falling after the eruption could add more to your effect. But
other than that, nicely done.
