I like the creepy aspect of this but, I rushed it.

Ok, I'll be honest. Even accounting for you rushing, this
image has serious issues, especially with lighting and color
choices. The reddish tint of most of the image contrasts with
the greenish tone of the back wall, which is a distracting
contrast that doesn't fit well with the rest of the image. In
addition. the blue tentacles don't go well with the red tint
because red is an attention getting color while blue is an
relaxing color. The contrasts of color and therefore tone make
this image not blend well. The bump-maps on the two walls that
I see are too deep, causing the texture to look more like skin
than a wall. In addition, reusing the monkey model really shows
that you were rushing. To your credit, you managed to color the
monkey differently, darkening the lower parts of the face, and
making the teeth pointed, thus making it somewhat scary.
My advice: Make the back wall red and dark like the side walls
and floor, change the tentacles color to black, and don't have
the monster be the brightest. In addition, You also need to
turn the wall bump-map's depth down quite a bit. To build up
the creepiness, make the light source point away from the
monster and put him in the darkest part of the room, barely
visible. Make his eyes glow a bit however, so you know he is
there. Also, please turn down the ambient light in the back
wall. It doesn't mesh well with the rest of the creepy tone and
prevents you from doing the previous suggestion above. In
addition, I forgot this, but the shadow at the very bottom of
the picture looks kind of like the picture cut to black there.
It adds to the creepiness, but is a bit disconcerting. I'm not
sure whenever it's a good or bad thing.
td;lr: the inconsistent color choices and lighting create a
jumbled mood and tone, preventing a sense of unity and harmony.
Think a bit more about how the color choices and lighting affect
mood and unity next time. The idea was okay, the execution, not
so much.

Hey its Jack who sits next to you ;D . I think you did very
well so far for a rush, all you need to do is color change. Try
this link as it can give patterns of colors you want,
HTML https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel/
. I do think it
needs an ambient light as you cant see the room that well to
make out or it feels like a void. The monkey looks good but
maybe eyes that are lighten up would be very good to add. Try
orange-yellowish point lights in front of its eyes to give it
life. See you after break, good luck.

This is a very unique way of tackling this assignment, and I
personally would never have thought of using the monkey we made
in a previous assignment for this one, even though it is kinda
creepy looking! While it's true that a lot of quality was lost
because you rushed, it's a very good idea, and it has potential
to be something really cool and scary.

I like this a lot because I would not have thought of using the
monkey from the last project we worked on. I feel like the blood
on the walls look like a wallpaper, they do not look that
realistic to me. I sit next to you and I saw how rushed you were
so for a rushed project you did an amazing job. Good job!
