First-Year Still Life Project

Here is what I have so far of my still life project. I like what
I have with the lighting. The main light source is the window
and it's supposed to look like natural light. I didn't make my
scene very complicated because I wanted it to have a a
simplistic and open sort of feeling instead of being cluttered.
I think I need to work on some of the models such at the potted
plants and the camera.
I would appreciate any critiques and tips!

Lighting is looking pretty good maybe think about softening the
leaves and giving them some shape so they don't look so much
like card board cut outs.

Looks Great so far! i would also add a fish tank light, like
either a spot light or a pointer light to really bring out that
fish tank as well as adding more light and difference in color
to your still life. I would also say that the light coming into
the room is to dark for the light outside. If not brightening
the room maybe find a darker outside picture maybe one with
cloud cover because the room is dark. You really are doing a
great job. Great work keep it up! :)

I think what you have done is very good so far. One thing that I
would say about the plants is that the leaves seem a little
stiff, maybe they could flop a little more. As for the camera it
look good but a bit to large next to the fish tank. And there
seem to be a reflection of the plant in front of the glass of
the tank, but the plants are on the side. keep up the good
work!

Thank you! I am working on the leaves look more realistic and
leaf-like. There is actually a plant inside the fish tank! I
will work on making it look less like a reflection. Thank you!

Looks amazing but the pillows seem to be a bit too squared
especially inn the middle area of the pillows.

Hey there! I really like what's going on here. The room looks
sensible and everything looks as if it is placed in a believable
spot, my two critiques are that the comforter on the bed would
look a little more realistic if it was going down the sides of
the mattress, because it looks kind of like a big foam pillow
and not a blanket, and I think if you smooth out the edges of
the pillows a bit more it will give them a more natural look.
Way to go!
