I finished my still life on Monday, and ive been working on a
rifle to improve my skills in Maya. Its a rifle from the show
SAO called the PGM Ultima Ratio Hectate I. Its coming
along...slowly. Im having a hard time with the base of the gun
and the trigger area, and could use a lot of help. This is what
i have so far.

The rifle looks great so far. The body of the rifle is usually
the hardest part, and for the trigger most people try to extrude
it from the body but I personally have an easier time creating a
separate object as the trigger.

I'm really liking what you have so far. In my opinion, the
amount of detail that you were able to put into it is
impressive! Dunno if I can say too much else though without a
reference image and a wire frame image. If you could post one
of those I feel like I could say a lot more about the model and
help with the base and trigger more.
