BDSM and Spanking : fundamental differences.

BDSM starts with a sexual situation, then adds to it with the
whips, punishment and pain. The costumes (rubber, leather,
spikes, thongs etc.) are already explicitly sexual.
The punishment is added to a situation which is already erotic.
Spanking (to use a general term) starts up from a non-sexual
situation.
Take as an example, a popular spanking scenario - the errant
schoolgirl in the Headmaster's office.
The initial situation is not a sexy one. The pupil is summoned
to receive a punishment. This might be detention, suspension,
expulsion, litter duty or even just a good telling-off. A
meeting between two fully dressed people in everyday clothing.
Nothing erotic so far.
Only when things move on to corporal punishment - the girl bends
over, skirt up, knickers exposed or pulled down - does it take
on an erotic quality.
The sex part is actually a by-product rather than a raison
d'etre.
Another difference is roleplay. It's not an essential for BDSM
but it's difficult, if not impossible, to 'do spanking'
effectively without some roleplay involved.

...which is why I'm making the comparison and quite agree with
Krystal.
Spanking and BDSM are different and, as stated, there are plenty
of sites for the latter.

Well thank you for agreeing. I just find BDSM a bit weird/scary
maybe (personally) and we don't want a site full of those
seriously into it.

Well, I am 100% with Krystal on this one and quite frankly BDMS
scares me to death as well! Like Krystal, I find it weird and
really very unpleasant. There are not many sites that I dare say
this on but I guess that this shows that Krystal has a unique
site and is to be much admired for sticking to her principles
and not just following the easy path of the pound notes. Well
done for making it clear where you stand, Krystal, we respect
you for your principles!
PS I cannot find an admiration smiley as we don't appear to have
one - what the heck is an Azn smiley? (Does Azn stand for
amazing?)
