It was indeed a "masterpiece on Jon's rear" and Krystal is
undoubtedly a great expert and although she does not proclaim
herself as a goddess or any of that nonsense, she is probably
far more accomplished and competent that those who self tout
themselves to the rooftops and operate out of top London
       addresses charging grossly inflated tributes.
From what one can see, there was no broken skin and Jon says
that all was done within his pain threshold which is a further
demonstration of skill and competence. The only snag and it is
nothing to do with Krystal's efforts is that markings are for
very many a real problem in terms of remaining discrete. I read
where a pro estimated that 80% of her clients are in a
relationship and as yet, no fully satisfactory work around has
been found. Yes, some mistresses (see the web site of Mistress
Nyx) swear by what they describe as the "magic of the wet towel"
which allows for severe caning without marking. However, others
might see wet towels as detracting from the realism.
For those in a relationship, marking can present a problem and
Jon himself has said that when he next sessions, he may have to
stop after the warm up - such curtailment is restrictive and
regrettable in as much that the players feel limited by this
factor. The first person to invent a cane that does not mark
might make a fortune - the more so if it is realistic in every
       other way.
In Siberia where they do those very severe caning therapy
beatings aimed at curing addictions or mental depression even,
they use willow which reportedly is incredibly painful but said
not to leave marks. Has anyone used willow canes, I am
wondering? What thoughts do we have on this subject of marking?
How do 80% of folk who are in a relationship get round the
       problem?

       Toughie slowcoach!!
I have no idea but when I am caned the marks are gone within
minutes, is that because I have a nice skin tone or is it
because of something different???? I don't know the answers. I
don't mark easily with a hand spanking either and yet again I
don't know the answer as to why.
Jon has a light skin tone - not as light as ginger peoples skin
tone though so I think that may be the reason he marked quickly.
       Idea.....
Tan in the sun kinda skin= you can take a caning without making
Burn in the sun kinda skin = you will mark and bruise
Ginger kinda skin=don't attempt caning ;)

       Nice poetry, Krystal!!
Firstly, I think that Jon is the toughie not me as demonstrated
       by clear evidence :))
As kids, our family used to burn like hell when the sun came out
but when at university, I worked on some archaeological digs
where everyone took shirts off. I did this for gradually
increasing periods and by the end of the summer, I had shirt off
all day long in heatwave conditions - no burning! So, it is
possible to climatise and toughen up the skin.
It gives me hope because being mean, I do like to get my money's
       worth even with spanking! :))

When I go out in the sun for an extended time, I tend to go a
nice lobster shade. ;D Depending on the severity, my skin will
then either peel or gradually fade to a lightish tan.
So I reckon I fit perfectly on Krystal's rough scale.
I'm currently trying out the theory that regular spankings will
toughen up the skin by self-spanking with what is effectively a
       paddle. (It's a piece of wood, a half-inch thick, three and a
half inches wide, and nearly two feet long.) It has a nice
sting, and reddens my backside nicely. :-[ Of course, it is no
substitute for Krystal, but I haven't won the lottery recently.
       :'(

Yes, indeed, Jon, I was advised to indulge in self spanking
using a wooden spoon but your instrument sounds more practical.
As with you (I suspect), I would not mind the marking too much
if single but if my partner catches me with a blue/black
backside, I will very soon have black eyes to match my rear end
and I won't need to pay for this (at least not with hard cash!!)
       :))

I just found this on the subject of bruising and marking.
Nothing much that some of us probably don't know already but a
few ideas and thoughts - see link:

In my experience with meeting a varied number of Spankees over
the years, I have fond that the more well used the bottom is,
then the more able it is to take more punishment without
       marking.
I know that some of the more seasoned players, on returning from
even a short family 2 week holiday, will find the first
spankings to be more painful than usual, so they need to build
       up again.
Repeated hard pounding to the skin surface will result in a
certain amount of Nerve endings losing their sensitivity, but
mostly it is to do with the body building up thicker skin
tissues to counteract the unusual wear and tear.
If you consider the difference between the manual labourer with
work calloused hands and the office worker with their more
delicate skin, then it makes a certain amount of sense.
So certainly the continued bottom bashing with a fairly large
wooden paddle will help build up the skins resilience, but it
will need to be fairly severe to overcome its natural ability to
cope with the average wear and tear. And also it will need to be
covering quite a large area, to cope with the reach of the more
bendy cane. So is a combination of heavy tawse and paddle to be
       considered??
So maybe it will be helpful to come and see me for a number of
beatings a week to build you up, It wont take more than a few
       months!!!!

Thanks, Grant, I guess that we can explain to the bank manager
that we are in training for the next Olympics and after much
lobbying, spanking has been included in the next Olympics. After
all, they pretty much include everything else including
tiddlywinks, I believe. You can prepare us and then we will
hopefully graduate to Krystal and on from there to the Olympic
team consisting of Jon, me and any other likely lads or lasses
who may read this and be tempted to join the squad :))

Less complex it may be, Jon, but it is certainly much cheaper!
This is a very expensive hobby that we have taken up and much
more expensive than pike fishing! :))
