Hello Kitty, Bad Kitty, Bye Bye Kitty
By: Truman Overby Date: April 2, 2019, 7:52 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
It's always good to see people standing up for what they believe
in. But this might be taking it a bit too far. Or am I missing
something? Is Hello Kitty a demonic, subversive influence on
young minds? Or maybe the umbrella signifies some sort of
sinister underground organization? Can anyone help me out here
because I need to know if I need to carry a talisman of some
sort to ward off the effects of the evil kitty.

"Priests are seen saying prayers over the fire pit where other
items, including a book from the Twilight vampire-themed fantasy
romance series, a 'Hello Kitty' umbrella and a Hindu religious
       figurine, are also burning."

Hello Kitty is not a real cat, so it doesn't matter.
Anyway, think J.K. Rowling paid them to burn her books? Great
       publicity for her!

Slender Man is fictional too. And look at the damage he did. One
girl killed another girl in his name. Let's not let our guards
       down, folks.

The girl survived. Just barely, but survive she did. Point
       taken, though...
I still wonder about J.K. Rowling, though. That really was too
great a publicity stunt to have been obtained for free.

I agree about the Rowling books. Sales were probably slow in
Poland. Look for them to skyrocket. Maybe you should get out of
       math and into marketing.

Hmm... If they were serious about burning modern idols,
shouldn't they have chosen smartphones and fitbits rather than
Hello Kitty and Harry Potter? Is the Catholic church a little
behind the times? Or just too stingy?

That's fine and all, Susanne. But I really want to know what you
think about this Kitty. ??? ::)

Publicity stunt, I'm tellin' ya. I just wonder how much money
       they got for it.

You made a good observation there, Jerry. It's not about Hello
Kitty at all. It's about umbrellas.
