Steve, I think that Frederica Wilson { she's the genius in the
dumb looking shiny cowboy hat } and Cortez would be a Democrat
dream ticket. If that doesn't work out there's still the
ancient, commie, America-hater Ralph Nader. Yep, you guys have a
deep bench to draw from. I'm envious I tell you.

Jerry, you are just trying to set up the Democrats to fail. We
can`t deal with another 4 years of Trump can we? That would be
horrible. They`ll find an electable candidate.

Another article on Biden:
HTML https://www.thecut.com/2019/03/an-awkward-kiss-changed-how-i-saw-joe-biden.html
it goes to show how little the American people think of the
office of vice President when you think none of this surfaced in
2008/2012.
Or it could be the progressive left is signaling they wont
settle for Uncle Joe.

The key paragraph, in the article there are links
Time passed and pictures started to surface of Vice-President
Biden getting uncomfortably close with women and young girls.
Biden nuzzling the neck of the Defense secretary’s wife; Biden
kissing a senator’s wife on the lips; Biden whispering in
women’s ears; Biden snuggling female constituents. I saw obvious
discomfort in the women’s faces, and Biden, I’m sure, never
thought twice about how it made them feel. I knew I couldn’t say
anything publicly about what those pictures surfaced for me; my
anger and my resentment grew.

Wow, Neal you really did get elevated to Administrator level.
Impressive.
It´s surprising that Republicans seem so worried about Biden
being too cuddly with adult women considering their willingness
to ignore Trump´s legacy and his reputation, which is hardly any
different, and his allegedly innocent „locker room talk“ but now
they are sweeping down on Biden for doing the same sort of thing
(I haven`t seen any clips of any of this so I`ll just believe
what you say.) Even a candidate for Supreme Court, if Republican
backed, is given a pass when it comes to this sort of thing if
conservative enough. Seems like a obvious double-standard to me.
But, I think we can find a better candidate to run anyway in
2020.

You're missing it Steve, probably on purpose again.
The women Trump grabbed were all willing, indeed that was the
nature of his famous comment - registering surprise that money
and celebrity had made it so easy to score with women. He could
jump right in to kissing them, he could "grab them by the ..."
and they wouldn't mind because he was rich and famous. It was a
high school narcissist's dream.
This is different and it is not about sex. Biden doesn't want
to sleep with these women. I don't think he has ever cheated on
his wife. He wants these women to know that despite their
competence and achievements he is still in charge.
I certainly am not going to argue about Trump's morality. But
Biden is covered in a sicker type of ick. I only made the
comment and posted the link because you asked about him.

Steve, I don't know if this kid has legs, but he seems to be an
up and coming centrist.

Neal-- I was so pleased to see a centrist candidate! I had not
heard of him yet. Perhaps he could be what Alharacas was
asking about-- the mix that could beat Trump. I am glad to hear
the democrats might have a more viable possibility instead
trying to win with a very liberal candidate.

I wouldn't exactly call Buttiegig a centrist. I do find it
incredible that a small-town mayor would believe himself to be
qualified to be president of the most powerful country on earth.
South Bend is not exactly a success story. But then again, we
were saddled with a community agitator who had almost no
political, and certainly no executive experience, for eight
long, bleak years that saw America decline in every measurable
metric. He did manage to increase the number of Americans
receiving food stamps to a record level. And of course our debt
ballooned to an amount higher than the amount of all other
budgets combined in the history of the U.S.
So if failure is an accomplishment, then Barack Hussein Obama (
not his real name ) was a smashing success.

A guy I know back east knows of this guy and thinks he`s got a
chance. I had never head of him before the fellow I know
mentioned him. I haven`t read the article yet, but I will a bit
later. I think the guy, at first glance, is too much of an
unknown to have chance. We don`t need some nobody trying to
defeat the likes of a Trump. It´s just not going to happen. We
have to be really smart about this and getting the right
candidate.

It is all about marketing.
But it is hard to go from Mayor to anything else. I remember
when mayors in New York City would say they had the "second most
important job" in the United States. But none of them made it
to governor, let alone President.
