Complexifier, Apoplectic, and a Pecker
By: Truman Overby Date: February 9, 2019, 6:10 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Did anyone see this story? I have to admit that I was taken
aback by the word 'complexifier.' But at the same time, I was
certainly not apoplectic that some pecker is messing with Bezos.
I had never seen the word 'complexifier' in my life but
instantly knew what it meant. I did assume that Bezos, or more
likely a very highly-paid lawyer, had invented the word. What
did the other EGPers think when they saw this word? Apoplectic
is a fairly common word, I assumed, but according to all of the
stories that I read, many people were upset at its use.

Edited to correct misspelling.

No, I hadn't seen the story, but it's a mystifier to me that so
many people would consider the word "complexifier" a
perplexifier*.
Isn't being able to make up words - for example by adding a
suffix - one of the things which make the English language so
beautiful?
*no, that word doesn't exist - yet. "mystifier" however, does. I
checked.

Nothing to say. Hit the wrong button somehow. Talk about a
perplexifier.

I feel a bit cataleptic, all those neologisms are too wearing
for my hypothalamus, putamen, cerebellum. My synapses can’t cope
despite their neural plasticity.

There is a movie called Terrifier. Complexifier could be
Terrifier's friend.

Where does the Pecker figure in?

That would have to be a different kind of movie, I'm afraid.

Wasn't the title a little misleading, Jerry? Shouldn't it have
said "... and two peckers"?
Plus, since I'm not on Twitter, would you mind explaining what
exactly the National Enquirer's blackmailing was about? They
said they'd publish these photos if Bezos did/didn't... what?

Perhaps have the Washington Post (which Bezos owns) back off
Trump?
