So Marmolada needs a Minion. Does that about sum it up?

What exactly is the point of this question here?

On the contrary, I would prefer someone with initiative and
character.

You had that.
Gef, in his endearing way, might be stirring the sh*t but he is
making a point. If not Alharacas than who? The extremes would
be the recently departed or a minion.
I do not know the details but we can imagine the moderator
resigned because she did not fully support your decisions in the
recent events. If I were you, the resignation of such a quality
#2 would bring about some introspection about my recent
decisions. Maybe not everything I did was right. Perhaps a
compromise is necessary?
The vast majority here do not want such language being hurled
around. It was more than just the words, the intent to hurt was
behind them. We support action. If you remember, I supported
action the first time because I didn't want hurt feelings that
would later surface in bitter words. You had an absolute right
to be upset both times.
I would have loved if you could have just ignored each other. I
cringed several times because, at least to my mind, you did pick
at him a bit. It was obvious you were still upset, and just as
obvious he was oblivious to it. But I don't know if you noticed
but his posts were already changing from the politics laden
drivel to some valuable, language learning related stuff. I was
hopeful things would iron out. I know you have been busy, but
we do miss your voice.
You say you don't want a minion, you want someone with
initiative and character. You had that. Perhaps you can work
out a compromise with her? I am not sure you can find another
moderator who agrees completely with what recently happened to
fill her shoes.
Or maybe you already have. In which case this is all moot.

Really? This is not exactly a place to debate this but have you
seen Alharacas take action when moderator's intervention was
needed? A moderator has to intervene, not pretend nothing
happens, and then leave when there is a conflict they can't
escape from.

You're not going to get someone to sit on this place 24/7 to
intervene as things happen. The best you can hope for is
intervention after the fact.
What did you expect the moderator to do? The admin was already
involved. The only thing to do then was to offer advice, and if
you have character and initiative, perhaps resign when it was
not taken.
And so Gef asked if you are looking for a minion.

Yes, the admin was involved in the conflict. This is precisely
the case when the second man in charge is needed to step in.
This is the exact moment.
And Alharacas was there, she just ignored it and left; did not
take any action, did not talk to me about any of this either
later on but came and informed that she resigns.
I don't need minions. I need people who can take action and can
talk about what bothers them.
