Best Countries in the World to live In

According to a German guy on Quora, here`s a ranking of the best
countries in the world;

This is just a partial list, but you can see the US comes in at
39, even below Cuba, which scores higher. We`re more in the
Nigeria category.

As far as I'm concerned, it's the Czech Republic. 8) Yes, I'm
still in the honeymoon phase. :) (I just need to learn Czech.

Since when is Hong Kong a country? And for that matter, Puerto
Rico. I didn't look through the entire list. My head hurt even
before I got to PR. This Quora is quite the source for useless
info. Thanks, Steve.

I`m glad I could be of help.
Cuba out-did the US. That´s pretty good. Except I`d drop Hong
Kong altogether (I agree with you. Since when is Hong Kong a
country? And, I`d replace number one as Germany. Island belongs
as number 2). Then I`d put the US in the lower 40 out of 170-odd
counties, sort along side, what, the Congo?

Well, I thought he sounded convincing to me, Neal. Authoritative

Once again, I'm dying to know the criteria. Per capita rate of
scorpions? Length of coast line? Availability of slave labour?

Well, the guy on Quora didn’t exactly cite a source. It was the
answer to the question „Is the US the best country in the
world?“ And it was on the German board, and this German guy said
„No way!“ He was from Germany and said he had lived in the US 10
years and then went on to the list. So, I just figured it made
sense. Except for putting Hong Kong on top of the list. Hong
Kong? That’s not even a country.
Iceland definitely deserves to be in the top 5 for sure. The
only thing about Island is it’s a little isolated, way out there
all alone in the North Atlantic, it can getting pretty windy and
cold too, and there are no trees. Other than that it’s a great
place with great people, even if they only have 325,000.
But, there’s nothing like a cold Icelandic wind hitting you with
10 degree Celsius in July like I experienced. Just walking from
the airport terminal to the hotel felt like it took forever. It
makes me chilly now just thinking about it. That’s when you need
one of those nice warm Icelandic wool sweaters. But, Wanda, the
italki vegan lady, says you can‘t sheer the sheep and take its
fur to make a sweater out of it because it’s cruelty to animals,
because that’s stealing, and the wool belongs to the sheep. So,
Iceland wouldn’t work for vegans.

I just looked at the list roughly. Is it the list of traveling?
