No. I don't think so.
I put EGP link before and mentioned in my comments too. But my
commnets have remained and I've never banned yet. Maybe if he
had an animal's picture, they would ban. ;)
Anyway, I think that the italki discussion forum will be removed
soon or later. Just wait.

Even my rooster wasn't safe from the Chinese censors. :'( What
have the Chinese got against roosters? Maybe this isn't the year
of the rooster.

I dont think he will get banned.
I think the bannings are complaint driven inside the
conversation threads and Italki polices the threads by title.
I personally think the complaints are coming from teachers, but
that is only my bitter theory.
Hopefully people will visit and contribute to the discussions!

I agree with Neal that italki´s banning is driven by complaints
(including complaints that are unjustified.)
I was seriously considering adding to the thread, mentioning my
participation in both places and that it is a good place to
discuss things that may have any political or religious
relevance. I thought about posting a link to a thread which
clearly was against italki terms of service (who is the good one
in the war in Syria) and mentioning that in my opinion posting
on a thread like that on italki was not a good idea, but could
be done safely here.
But I think I will wait at least a week to see if the thread
survives (as well as to hear your thoughts) before I give more
thought to doing that. I am that lucky person who has never
been even temporarily banned (inspite of a thread criticizing
their notebook feature recommending a different service and
several mentions of Baselang-- who is at least in part a
competitor to their teachers.)
I had not thought about the possibility of complaints coming
from teachers. It seems like I would have been more at risk if
the complaints were from teachers.
