If you google Reisefreiheit DDR, maybe even add Rentner
(pensioner), you'll get lots more results - in German, of
course. No idea why this kind of information is not available in
other languages (except Dutch).

I was trying things like "over 65" and "age" but hadn't thought
of typing in "pensioners" (duh).
So panic over, it's not part of the evil capitalistic
propaganda. I just don't know how to google things.
