I guess to find it amusing you have to have an odd sense of
humor, or maybe have watched too many James Bond movies or cheap
science fiction. I think it is hilarious.
Try reading it again and understand it is only one side of a
conversation, and the technical jargon is meaningless.
Have you ever read The Onion before? Very topical and cultural
US humor.
