Proposed forum sections

Hey, if anyone has ideas regarding the organization of the
forum, tell so. I can even change the "Digital Dementia" to
something more suitable. If there is something better. I mean,
what can be better than DD as a name?

No, the name's just fine. Great, in fact. I'd just like a
separate thingummy for poetry (it's the one thing that's got
nothing to do with digital dementia, IMO).
And may I have one for puzzles? I promise not to bug anyone
about actually solving them, ever! I just like making them
(occasionally), I don't even need any head-patting for doing
them. And if I've got a separate thingamajig, then nobody will
be forced to look at them, see.

I don't like "digital dementia" as a section name. Since the
first few posts have been on poetry, I suggest it be changed to
"Books, Reading, Poetry, and Literature." Or "Books and
Reading," if there's a length limit.
Another good major section would be "¡talki."
Another good one would be "Language learning websites and
resources (other than ¡talki)."
Ahem. I do not appreciate automatic editing of words like
"¡talki" and "p¡zza t0ppings."

I have a fear of digital dementia. I used to practice English by
writing with a pen. My brain and right hand remembered the
spelling and what I wrote. But typing doesn't seem to help my
memories. I think I have another thirty years until my funeral
so I still need ability of memorizing. ;) umm...Is my post
funny? it might not fit Dan's comment. Sorry for my poor
English! but I'm enjoying! Thank you, Dan!

Well, your post was definitely the first one that fit the title
of "Digital Dementia", Chizuko! Thumbs up! :D

I agree with Dan's suggestions. Admin doesn't have to even look
at the bit for books.
Another section I'd like would be something like "Cultural
Miscellanea" (not too hung up on the heading) - unless you think
we shouldn't have too many sections?

The thing is that there are categories and the boards that go
under. I don't see "puzzles" as a category but it would make for
a good board. So what category put it under?

[li]Books and Reading - done, plus boards;[/li]
[li]Language learning websites and resources, ¡talki - I made a
category Language Learning and put those two as separate
boards;[/li]
[li]editing - the word italki is no longer edited but pizza
topping, sorry, Dan, but you shouldn't even try to post it here.
That's the rule.[/li]

Maybe it could be in Cultural Miscellanea
By the way, thanks for the great work with the forum and
sections

Allie, but Cultural Miscellanea is a board. So under a board you
can only put threads.
Or maybe just make a board Puzzles (or riddles or something like
that) under the Culture category (if it's not some sacrilege)
::)
