VERBLING does anybody know this site for hiring teachers?

Any experience with it? I got definitely kicked out from italki
and all the lessons I had booked for the following weekend have
been canceled.
Anybody knows Verbling?

It seems legit to me. Its traffic rank is not comparable to
italki, but at least they're based in San Francisco, California.
So, I suppose you won't go through the Chinese censorship
problem with them.

It might be easier if you get yourself a gmail account, and then
fund a PayPal account for the italki fees. At least that will
get you back with your favorite teachers.

NealC do you have an idea if someone pays with PayPal does his
real name appear in the italki bill when they receive the money?

Ok yes it does have the name, but you can use your
husband's/partners name and email address. You will have to
attach paypal to a bank account to move money in and out.
Alternately you can use a business name for paypal.
Hmmmm. If you want you can use your credit card to buy a gift
certificate on my website. I will use the money to fund your
throwaway italki account. We can try it with a small amount to
see if it works. Up to you.
My fee would be something small but wonderfully delicious in
dark chocolate from Switzerland or Italy :-)

Look what I found:
HTML https://livefluent.com/3-best-sites-for-online-arabic-tutors-and-classes/#tab-con-15
There's an evaluation of 3 different sites, specifically for
learning Arabic.
Apparently, a site called preply is best for classical Arabic
(which is what you're learning, isn't it?).

I donīt know about Verbling, but here is another option for you.
One of my teachers of Spanish started teaching at Preply--
which is a site for tutors of all sorts-- not just languages but
math, science, etc. I see they have more than 400 Arabic
tutors.

Thank you Alharacas. Nice website! I found the comparaison
interesting. Yes Verbling is a bit more expensive than Italki
but I found two teachers I already know. I am reading a book of
Naguib Mahfouz with one of them. I should have started this
morning but had to cancel the lesson, since I had problems
coming home from an extended weekend (car got wrecked). I will
report later about the website.
