       A Polish Troll Farm?

An article in today’s Guardian about the discovering of a Polish
troll farm made me nostalgic. I still miss a famous troll that
was active on a so-called language learning website based in
Shanghai and helped to set up this Even Greener forum for the
outcasts of Italki. She was my favorite Polish troll. She left
the board some months ago. Was/Is she working for the Troll Farm
       in Wroclaw?

What do you think about this article? Doesn’t it remind you
about our beloved liberal Lost Minion?
BTW How beautiful the city of Wroclaw looks! I must absolutely
       go there someday.

Wroclaw is a very nice place to visit, so it is always a good
idea. It's constantly developing and attracts many young people
to come and work in many newly created companies. The one
described is probably one of them.
I'm not surprised that those companies exist. I stopped reading
comments under articles in our internet long years ago. Since a
few years most comments are strongly polarised and it has
nothing in common with a discussion. It really looks like the
war of trolls and the idea that someone is in charge of the
keeping the balance by "adding some oil to the fire" on one or
on the other side, looks very probable and explains a lot.
Joining this kind of "discussion" means being caught and serving
as another wheel in their machine.
It looks always the same. A group of people, let's say teachers,
miners, medical staff, people with disabilities, starts
protesting against the officials and fighting for their
rights... and as soon as they seem to get some sympathy from the
society, a lot of fake news and, private "opinions" and
so-called thrilling "real life stories" appear in the internet
trying to portrait the protesting group as rascals who do their
job very bad, steal public money, and are obviously paid agents
of enemies (however we define them).
Recently the was a situation revealed in media, that one high
official of public administration was paying the troll for
fabrication of fake news against his political opponents.
On a free market competition between companies the things are
not so clear as we sometimes think. There are companies who will
contact you and offer that for a small monthly fee they will
write good opinions about your products and services... some of
them suggest that they can write bad opinions about your
competitors too (unless one of them not has paid them earlier...
or even if he paid - who can prove that?).
