Welcome my granddaughter Natalie Evelyn to the world, 8lbs, 3oz
(3.7 kilos)! Mother and baby doing well!

May I ask a question? Is she wearing a cap-shaped a ribbon? Is
it an American habit?

There is some sort of ribbon or bow connected to the top of the
cap to make it look more cute. Not really a tradition, but
dressing up the baby in cute things like that is definitely an
American practice.
