Sofia, as you may have noticed, I spent a significant amount of
time yesterday defending you because I didn't think your friends
should automatically be called liars. I assumed what you were
telling was all there was to it and you wouldn't withhold
important information. As it turned out, you kept to yourself
something that played a key role in the case, which makes
defending you impossible. I'd like to believe, though, that you
at least acknowledged that I tried.
Jerry, personal attacks based on someone's lifestyle are a very
lame way of arguing your point and quite unnecessary in a
situation where the facts are on your side anyway. Targeting
people for who they are is not OK. You know very well that I'm
not a fan of people who consider themselves superior but as
annoyed as you may be, this is not the way to treat anyone.

I am kinda struggle to understand why Steve has a hard time to
believe in Sofia's friends story? Are you going to claim that in
US cops never doing some shіt like unlawful arrest? I get
it, we only have one side of the story. Maybe the guy wasn't
cooperative or maybe rude or in some way pіss off that
       cop.

This is my last entry on this topic. And it's addressed to
anyone who cares about facts. As I said earlier, the story is
       totally bogus.

       International Driving Permits
The State of California does not recognize an International
Driving Permit (IDP) as a valid driver license (DL). California
does recognize a valid driver license that is issued by a
foreign jurisdiction (country, state, territory) of which the
       license holder is a resident.
The IDP is only a translation of information contained on a
person's foreign driver license and is not required to operate a
motor vehicle in California. Citations issued to a person in
California who has an IDP, but does not have a California driver
license will be placed on the Department of Motor Vehicle
       database.
The IDP is also called an International Driver License,
       International License, etc.
